What does Spike want, everyone to emulate his type of filmmaking. Both are indeed first rate levels of work. I don’t like hearing Spike criticize Tyler, maybe it’s due to the fact that Tyler could buy those horrible NY Nicks that Spike loves so, and Spike hates that all he can afford is front row seats.

Tyler brings humor, art, and the black experience, that many of us can identify with to life. If you don’t like his work, let him know by not buying a ticket. I’m not so hi-falutin sophisticated that I can’t see similarities of my own family in his movies and enjoy laughing at my self.

Spike Lee is the man and he is entitled to his opinion just like everyone else who commented on this article. Whether he is right or wrong is in the eyes of the beholder. Learn you history about Black actors and then take a look at some of Tyler Perry’s characters. All they need is a good watermelon eating race and we will be right back to the sambo era.

spike lee dont even compare when it comes to tyler perry period,everybody is entitled to they’re on opinion no matter how stupid,this is another form of black on black”NOBODY WINS”.I personally like tyler perry’s work better and clearly most with the exception of a few african americans do to.This is typical from one brother to another,hatred run rampid between us aint no love where it should be.WE NEED US.

I love Tyler Perry movies for the simple fact that there is no violence, they are not scary, they are positive black films. Sometimes I get tired of seeing black people in a negative light, black people don’t always have to be drug dealers, pimps, hustlers, gang bangers. Why can’t we see black people in a positive light. In the words of Tupac, just cause you from the ghetto doesn’t mean you can’t grow. Mr. Perry if you are reading this, keep doing what you’re doing cause I love what you’re doing.

Tyler Perry is the Man. He is only telling the truth about some black people or maybe most..Thats why we find this kind of comedy funny. Similar to Martin’s TV show..If black people are tired of people making negative movies about us, we need to do something about our lives, change the way we live and do things..We keep living like “Menace To Society” and Boyz in the Hood, people are willing to lean towards those types of movies!..So black people we need to step our game up as a whole.
