The story points out the influence of media and it raises questions aobout “freedom of speech”. I wonder what the race of these kids were. I think this is a waste of police and the courts time. The officer who wrote the ciatation could have simply given them a verbal warning instead of costing the tax payers money for this nonsense.

As much as Mcdonalds breathe off the hip hop culture and you wanna arrest them for this? True enough it may be considered deviant to rap an order, but there is no laws broken here. If this is the case they may as well start arresting people for having dialects or accents in their speech.

Huh. I thought McD’s was such a fun place to be going to. And sometimes service means going along with the customer’s flow.

Obviously the kids were having a good time and their clear intention was for others to get a little entertainment, not a disruption of their business or meal.

Athough I do have to admit that anyone trying to communicate through one of those speaker boxes in anything other than a normal tone of voice is a total idiot…

I can’t understand why people are getting mad at the police for doing their jobs in this situation. Nobody was arrested, they were only cited AS A RESULT of an employee calling them! Sgt. Ludlow thought it was just some kids having fun as he stated,but because the McDonald’s employees feared their safety, they were asked to take action, otherwise they would have let it go. People are so ignorant to things sitting right in front of their faces, clear as day!
