Fans in Chicago were just trying to watch an NFL game played by the Bears and Detroit Lions on Sunday when a man decked in a gorilla costume and wearing an ‘All Lives Matter’ shirt rushed onto the field.

Luckily the offensive charade lasted only a few moments before Soldier Field security staff wrestled the man  onto the ground.

Was the stunt intended to be a counter protest to Colin Kaepernick‘s national anthem protest? If so, it was a miserable fail. What do you think? Sound off in comments?
