The second presidential debate was perhaps the one of the most bizarre and confusing in the history of U.S. presidential elections.

Donald Trump addressed a leaked 2005 video of him making lewd comments about women, while Hillary Clinton was forced to discuss ongoing questions about her handling of emails while serving as the U.S. Secretary of State.

Although political pundits agree that Trump performed better in the second debate than in the first, his response to an undecided Black voter about serving as president to everyone touched off a rousing debate on Black Twitter

Trump said, “I’m going to help the African Americans. I’m going to help the Latinos, Hispanics. I am going to help the inner cities.” He went on to say, once again, that Black people should vote for him because they have “nothing to lose” and threw around false statistics about Blacks living in poverty. He said an estimated 45 percent live in poverty, while the actual number is more like 24 percent.

Twitter was infuriated about Trump’s racist generalizations and rhetoric:

Nice try, Trump.
