Excuse me, white men are just as violent and are capable of doing the same thing. This is not a race thing. This is why people like YOU shouldnt be a juror. Cuz if it were a white man, there would have been a reasonable explanation, right? Cuz they are fine with “having to pay child support” and dont “make babies that they wont raise properly” or that they “REFUSE to raise at all”. Keep the racist comments to your self. My god…I thought the story was bizzare before I started to read some of these comments. Either it is very poor sarcasm or such a diluded sense of right and wrong that you would fault a child for a single offence, which does not seem to be full-blown molestation – over faulting an obviously unstable adult who has no regard for the laws or regulations of our country, let alone no moral fiber.

For those who feel it is an untreatable condition; I am assuming you know nothing at all of the treatment methods. Since all psychiatric treatment ranges individually from mild to severe cases (this child was very far on the mild side) and in cases of pedophilia has a very high success rate, when treatment is concurrent the likely-hood of succesful treatment is even higher.

Of-course, for those of you playing the sin card I suppose it does not matter at all; sin is an irrational concept used to justify improper action. We don’t live in a society controlled by your faith, get over it…

Obviously, none of us can know what was in the father’s mind. BUT while I don’t condone his actions, I think there is an epidemic of young Black females being raped and molested by relatives or family friends and very seldom are there legal consequences. The female is either demonized, disbelieved or ignored. At least a third, if not more of our female superstars have been molested and it has scarred their lives. From Aretha, to Oprah to Mary J ad infinitum, these women had their childhoods stolen from them. The whole story on Oprah STILL hasn’t been truthfully told. We do know now that while Vernon Winfrey raised Oprah, he is NOT her father which may explain his crappy attitude towards her. Oprah’s mother was molested by HER father and the gossip is that Oprah is the result. Aretha had a baby at 13 and another at 16. No child has that happen by accident. I’ve heard all my life that she was molested by her father and her uncle. Mary J was molested at FIVE years old. It’s time for us to start taking this s*it seriously. Protect your children, and your female children IN PARTICULAR. My Daddy was a wonderful man who would have killed anyone who touched me, and still my Mother and Grandmother NEVER left me alone with just men in the house. The problem with molesters is they never do it just once and they have no moral compass. One of my closest friends (19)went to meet her boyfriend’s father. He sent his son (who was desperate to please him) to the store and raped my friend while he was gone. The father threatened to kill her and his son if she told. She has never been the same. Any male who would molest a THREE year old is a sick SOB and you can bet he’d do it again, if not to her, than to someone else’s child. Maybe the Father was so horrified he took justice into his own hands. It’s a shame the kid is dead, truly, but if it’d been MY three year old, I might have killed him too. What I find jarring is that no one seems to be upset or worried about the child. What’s up with THAT?

@smitwj1 First of all, he was not a bad seed, he was a child, secondly, how can a father justify for killing his own child? He had no right to take life from anyone…He is not GOD, Judge or Juror. You embrace your child and love your child unconditionally. The child was only fifteen. What the child did was wrong, what his father did was worse. How do you get life back once it is taken? You cant. You justified his reason (an adult) for taking life–and is forgiving of that, but yet a child, a child could have not been forgiven of what he did. WHAT THE HELL IS THIS WORLD COMING TO?

The 15 year old came forward, knowing that there would be harsh consequences… He obviously could not live with what he was doing and felt the obligation to come clean, possibly for help and possibly because he knew that the sexual abuse would continue if he didn’t put a stop to it now. So he confesses to his mother, who wasn’t woman enough to handle it herself. She could have called Police, she could have beaten him and had his stay with family to keep him away from his sister all the while getting him the mental/psychological help that he needed. Nooooo, she called his psychotic father over. Another GREAT BLACK FATHER! He comes prepared…. WITH A GUN, the kind of object you use on an intruder who might be trying to cause your family harm! Nooo, not this father, he comes over with a LOADED GUN, beats the shyt out of his son, then makes him get butt naked, then forces him out in the open, in a public parking lot, makes him get on his knees, and blows his head off. He probably felt like a good, strong BLACK MAN afterwards.. So many black men have no clue how to take care of, love, support, raise and train children, millions of black men around America are probably saying; ” Yeh, ma nigga, thas how you DO IT BOY!” After all, killing him beats the hell out of having to pay child support, and we all know how black men feel about THAT! The boy may have been sexually abused himself, this behavior is usually repeated and learned behavior. And mom…. She caused all of this, she HAD to know that her children’s father had a hair trigger personality! He obviously did not love his son. How can you beat, humiliate and then KILL your own son! Mom watched.. I would have taken a bullet for my son.. You want to kill him? Take me too! I hope she feels much better now.. I’m sure she does.’ Black men on this site are all for it… Please stop making babies that you won’t raise properly, hell, stop making babies you REFUSE to raise at all. this is sooo unfortunate i believe in forgiveness no matter what no matter how awful the trangression because after all we are not the heavenly father and he has the final say the final word and he also gave us judges and juries to decide the fate for the ones who we are not too sure about….. the son was wrong on so many levels but the father was wrong all the way around because we are sopposed to teach our children and yes spare the rod and spoil the child not kill the child we are to love our children unconditionally no MATTER WHAT…. it seems as if the son wanted help and was reaching out for it through his parents and I’m very sure if he even thought that it would have ended his life he would not have made that confession and perhaps been able to get the help he needed some place else through some one else and not his family…. how sad that he went to his so called safe haven and that safe haven took his life….. my heart aches for the daughter what burden she has to carry with her for the rest of her life my lord did the father even consider that before he pulled the trigger? we all know the answer to that… now she has two burdens on her shoulders to carry around with her…. she is in my prayers and her brothers’… the parents I’m not to sure about guess I will pray for them to

I have never in my 24 years of life been so APPAULED at comments left on a website.. I am sitting here really trying to figure out when everyone took on the role of judge and jury…. and more or less God. What if that were your little boy??? Or that was your daughter?? Honestly put yourselves on both ends of the spectrum. That young man was obviously crying out for help…. He obviously knew better. And has anyone took two seconds to ask the question “where did the little boy get it from?” Molestation is not like having blue eyes…. you are not born a molester. That young man could have gone through hell as a kid, or been exposed too entirely too much whether it be what he saw others do, porn, media, etc. I have a daugther that will be 3 in a few weeks so the anger of the little girls mother definitely resignates with me, but as a parent and a human, I can’t help but ask myself… “What if that were my son?”… His father took the easy way out. I would fight for my child… both of them. That young man knew it was inappropriate, and was reaching out for help. People can say “once a molester, always a molester”…. but YOU do not have proof of that. I serve an all powerful God, who works in many ways. I really feel like the father took on the role of God, and was trying to prove himself to his girlfriend…. the mother of the little girl. He may have very well thought what he did was best for his son, and it was his responsibility to handle it, but somewhere along the way, he didnt handle it….. otherwise this would have never arose. The ONLY positive I can even come up with is the fact that his son will not have to live with his demons, the public scrutiny, and feeling less than as a young man. My heart aches for all parties involved. Parents…. DO NOT RELY ON MEDIA OR OTHER PEOPLE TO RAISE YOUR CHILDREN, OR TRUST THEY ARE IN GOOD HANDS, BECAUSE YOU COULD BE FACING THIS SAME SITUATION.

god please forgive him i know it not easy being a father in 1994 my husband son came by the house he was 26 we had a daughter name Cheri in Los Angeles ca she was 15 would be 16 in one week we left to go to the store he was suppose to be playing with her and he choke her crush her air way killed her she was alive when the emt came but was in a comma they ask was she eating something he said nothing they gave her air she blew up like a human balloon the police did nothing but his father and i wanted to kill him i think he should did some time he lie may be they could put a hole in her neck or somthing i remenber his son moveing her head around when they said she was dead they let us see the body my husban kept it in side he had 5 by pass thing lot worse with his heath untill he forgive i came to forgive him because of my cheri she loved her brother in her own way to this day he never told us he was sorry i once love him to god i miss my cheri just like me before i was with his father it was him and his father i know he was afraid after that we forgave him but we dont want to see him since the police did not do nothing he has a history of s/o againest women

It is amazing how ignorant some people are on here. Obviously the father was not a father, because this situation would not have arisen if he had been a true father and been around his family to truly raise his children with morals and logic and comprehension to all types of human interacions and behaviors and to have the son develop a proper internal moral compass. What purpose was served by killing him when this situation could have been prevented in the beginning by being a better and more responsible father instead of him being a “Street Hoodlum”. It is something else that this “Thug Justice” mentality is so prevalent. Molestation would not have occured with a real “Father and Parental figure” in the picture. Why not learn how to raise your children better in the front end so situations like this won’t occur at the back end?

I KNOW I would kill my nephew if he touched his little sister. I know too many broken women that are the way they are from being sexually abused by FAMILY. People that are suppose to protect you. Rapist are rapist for life. There is no rehabbing because like one poster said they are narcissistic and sociopathic to boot. He may have wanted help but it was too late. i think that it is sad because the 15 year old was basically admitting to his mother what be did and to me he was seeking help. I do not feel that he should have been killed. I think that hadn’t the boy told his mom what he did no one would have known and i think it took a lot for him to come forward with it. my heart goes out to the family of the boy that was killed along with the little girl that was a victim

I think the father thought what a embarassment, and thought maybe that to save his child of any father humilation and his self, maybe the son would do something in latter years of same nature, so the father killed the bad seed. That I think that was a hard lesson for the son, and the father did what he thought was right to save the world from any other sins his son may commit.

Wow…. this is a trippy story, but honestly I don’t fault the father much in this situation. Granted, you should have been able to teach your child better, but at the same time, this is just one of those catch 22 situations. You can’t make one decision without making it look like you were too easy on the other.

The 15 year old was sick and I believe whatever amount of “rehabilitation” the state would have offered would not have been sufficient. The father did what he thought was the best recourse of action at the time and he may suffer for it later.

I agree with some of these comments…I usually don’t agree with treating someone 16 and under as an adult in reference to crime if their emotions spewing from a feud caused them to commit a crime but sexual crimes are a completely different story..rapists/child molesters are narcissists..they do what they want to fulfill their desires with no regards to others..I don’t know why people always want to make excuses for these cowards..meanwhile these same people are most likely the ones who will not say the same about Ted Bundy or Jeffrey Dahmer…since when was taking what you want because it brings you some sort of enjoyment, an illness??..those kind of people are all around..it’s simply called..SELFISH, GREEDY AND EVIL…if he was my son I just might have killed him..I can’t really say, all I know is more of these child molesters need to be popped off and that’s some real shit.

We have to change our thought process. This little boy was more of a man than his father by admitting to his mother the horrible thing he had done. I don’t know how often he did whatever he did but he told because he knew it was wrong and maybe he knew he needed help. This is a horrible thing sexaul abuse and death. Can we help each other overcome things like this? Our children are exposed to-to much. We need to help them not give them extreme punishment such as this. A lot of people lost in this situation starting with the little girl, the son, the farther, the mother and other family members. We are responsible for each other as a human race! From the moment this child told the truth–healing could have started. Let us help each other heal not tear each other down.

As I read the comments my only question to those of you who repeatativly say he could haven been helped and rehabilitated , what country do you live in or think you live in. Simple fact of the matter is in America our justice system believes it is “REHABILITATION” being thrown into a cage , striped of all human rights, and controlled every waking and sleeping moment of your life. Secodnly do you know exactly what happens to pedophiles in jail its alittle thing called karma, but i wont get into the disturbing facts of that. Quite simply I feel like death at the hands of others is never deserving because I believe that God wasn’t lying when he said vengenace is his. BUt I do feel like to a certain extent this father had very ld school morals int he fact that back during slavery in order to keep our boys from being another casualty to the racism of the white society the fathers would go through extreme measures to punish their children. Everybody has so mucht o say about about the “poor baby” refering to the the son but quite simply if his case had went to trial the courts would have seen him as a man and punished him as a man. Nt only that what what about the littel girl those parents didnt just lose a son but they lost a daughter, when that pervented son killed her innocents. The litle girl she could have been is gone and will never come back. Its something about sexual abuse for people that will change them for LIFE all abuse is bad but sexual abuse literally is inside of you. THe boy is dead and gone and that can’t be changed the mother’s main concern right now is to get her life back on track and care for her daughter and her mental stability, No matter what the age abuse is a lingering demon that is hard to shake if ever shaken.May God have mercy on this family and their loved ones
