Police say an apparent murder-suicide claimed the lives of two people in an apartment in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn.

When police arrived on the scene Wednesday night, they found a 31-year-old woman on the bedroom floor and a 40-year-old man hanging from the window grate.

Both were pronounced dead at the scene.

“I actually seen the guy with the string around his neck, out the window,” said neighbor Neisha Seelal. “You could see the [glare], because the light was on, but you could see the person, you could see his head. We stood across the street, we sure did.”

An autopsy confirmed Thursday that the man had committed suicide by hanging himself.

As of Thursday night, the autopsy on the woman had not yet been completed.
