I think Mayor Bloomberg should probably just shut his damn mouth and let the process work without political influence. There’s enough profile to this, already. Honestly, I think he was punished enough when he SHOT HIMSELF IN THE THIGH!!!! And he’s most likely going to face a long-term suspension from the NFL, like Adam Jones or Tank Williams. Then again, if he was an ordinary guy who drove the MTA bus or something instead of a star athlete, and got caught carrying a loaded firearm into a nightclub without a permit, his ass would already be up North and that would be that. Everyone reading this knows that.

But overall, just like Michael Vick and Adam Jones and Tank Williams and all these other athletes and entertainers getting busted for this stupid shit…how fuckin stupid can you be? You’re rich. Hire security that has permits and knows how to handle guns. Go get firearms classes and a concealed carry license. You have plenty of money to do so. I know truck drivers who have their permits, so how hard can it be for a multi-million dollar athlete to get one?

For everyone that seems surprised and shocked that Bloomberg and others want to lock him up, dont be! This country has been racist from day one so dont be so surprised. If police can shoot innocent black men 40 times and be acquitted for it then dont be surprised. The racist Pigs cant help themselves! They love to persecute, blame, and point fingers at others when they themselves are the worst criminals on the face of the planet! These filthy Pigs have used guns to murder, war, slaughter, and committ genocide for hundreds of yrs. They love the gun and the gun is the tool they used to hijack, rob, and steal this country away from its original inhabitants. Plaxico is just another black man that they will try to use as their hanging boy! Just like blacks were lynched in the late 1800′s and 1900′s they still try it today, just in a different way. Plaxico doesnt have a criminal record and he isnt a threat to society so he should be given probation, counseling, and made to serve the community in some form or fashion.

Everyone has a valid point, but keep in mind that Plaxico has to be held accountable for his actions. Just because he has money does not mean that he is immune from the laws… By the hand of man, we are wrong if we charge a man with money, we are wrong if we DON’T charge a man with money. We can NOT pick and choose who is held accountable and this is DEFINITELY not a race issue….You do stupid things, bad things will happen to you.

Plaxico is grown and knows what the rules are…EVERYONE knows what the rules are. The shooting incident is one of many incidents just this year!!! You make millions of dollars and you miss a meeting because you have to take your son to school? Tell me that he doesn’t have a driver and at the very least tell me that he can’t make a phone call to let someone know….Sometimes we are not mature enough to handle success and this clearly falls in that category.

the man is an idol out here in the world trying to live a normal life and trying to keep himself from being a target for violence. some guys don’t want an ontourage of people around them all the time. that attracts attention he was having a good time by him self, we he felt he ad to have his gun with him just in case. it slipped down his pants and went off and shot Him in the leg not no one else. So why is he being prosecuted so severely. the NFL need to stand up and not speak for the players, especially when not knowing all the facts. get it together and come up with a better system for our young athletes so they can feel safe when out in the real world.

You know of course a white man in a power posistion will call a press confrence on prime time t.v. just to announce he would feel outraged if he is not PERSECUTED to the full extent of the law. Who care what you think Bloomberg im sure you were raised that way, and a far as Plax goes he just has to keep his head up and take whatever comes to pass because it will pass and he will move on to a better day. to those players involved they too either will keep it real or do whatever they can to save face i’m sure they all knew he had a weapon and i’m sure that wasn’t the first time. but they need to understand when u have enough money to pay for security then pay for the security! Last but not Least Is Matt Jones (white wide receiver Jacksonville Jags) still playing every sunday after possession of cocane charges and isnt that part of the substance abuse policy in the NFL wow! where was the press conference about that???

I do believe that the only reason a celebrity would be a “role model” for someone’s children is because that PARENT isn’t doing a good enough job to present themselves as a credible role model. Trust me if former NY Governor Eliot Spitzer had committed the his sex for hire crimes in NY I’m quite sure Bloomberg would find just cause to “look the other way” and withhold comment. Remember this is the same Bloomberg that supported the rouge NYPD officers that shot unarmed groom to be RON BELL over 40 times only minutes after his bachelor party. Not Surprising Bloomy…focus on real crime. I’m sure Mr. Burress could do a whole lot more good for the city of NY as a free man than as a tenant of Rikers. If Plexico’s last name was “MANNING” I don’t think we’d see the MAYOR taking such a high profile stance on the crime and punishment side.

Burress needs to be held accountable. He is a role model for our kids. His actions were deplorable and the New York Giants and the Hospital should have called and informed the police. Why did the police have to hear about it via the media. Thank
God for them. Our professional
atheletes need to be more responsible with their actions. I hope and pray that justice prevails and Burress doesn’t go free because of a
high powered attorney.

He accidentally shot himself this time, but that could just as easily have been an employee of the restaurant or any innocent bystander out to enjoy themselves.
