Fresh off the announcement of his new television drama, The Event, Hollywood veteran Blair Underwood has another major event — the release of his latest book. It’s called From Cape Town with Love. The novel is the third part of a detective series and features a “vook” — a video that readers can download that goes along with the book.

For Underwood, he believes his books feel a void. He likens his character Tennyson Hardwick to a cross between Jason Bourne and Shaft. “He’s romantic. He’s an action figure. He’s conflicted. It speaks to the action-adventure male oriented audience and also a romantic female audience that goes for that kind of stuff,” explained Underwood.
