With the passing of George Steinbrenner, we at News One decided to compile a list of the best Black Yankee ball-players that were signed under “The Boss’s” watch. Aside from the first Black Yankee ever, Elston Howard, all the players on this list were brought on by Steinbrenner.

We developed our own lineup card  with who we feel were the best at their respective positions beginning at catcher. Additionally, we included some other notable Yankees to fill out our bench.

Feel free to let us know if we missed some of your favorite Yankees.
