Great information. With this knowledge we empower ourselves to make better decisions over our lives. Yes there are many black families in lower rung of socioecomonic ladder and they require assistance today. But in order to change our lives we have to change our thinking and stop waiting to fall into a category of need. The only way to offset the generational disparity experienced by poorer blacks is to change the focus from "get rich or die trying" to obtaining an education. I'm not talking about these tech schools offering to get help you get a medical assistant certificate in 3 months for a goverment loan of $25k and $12/ hr. A real education that you took time and talent to accomplish. Anything offering
"quick" and "help" is going to keep you in the victim mentality. Let the government take care of those who truly can't take of themselves. We can no longer blame others for our lack of motivation to change our individual circumstance. We cannot wait for one president to change our lives either. To do that would be saying that Obama was elected president via "a hook up". let's take responsibility for our actions.
