A few days ago, there was a protest at the proposed site for the Ground Zero Mosque.

As the protest went on, an African-American man walked through the crowd with a skull-cap which many of the protestors seemed to confuse with a kufi and began verbally abusing him. There was also a hardhat who threatened him with violence.

The man walked away in a peaceful manner while people continued shouting “No Mosque Here.” He shouted that he wasn’t Muslim, but the crowd was relentless until one of the organizers stepped in to calm things down.

It seems that the divisions in this country not only between Democrats and Republicans, but people of different backgrounds are at an all-time high
