Midterm election resulst

Roland Martin appears on the Tom Joyner Morning Show to discuss midterm election results. Roland said, “If there was one word the could describe last night for Democrats – absolute massacre all across this country.”

Roland explained that Democratic losses went beyond congressional races and the US Senate. Ten to fifteen state houses flipped for the first time since the 1870’s. On the state level, Republicans gained control of state houses, state senates and Democrats lost governors’ mansions.

Republicans also took control of President Barack Obama’s former US senate seat in Illinois as Alexi Giannoulias lost to Republican Mark Kirk.

Listen to Roland Martin’s analysis of the 2010-midterm election results.
