Maryland — A three-month-old baby has been found safe in a stolen ZipCar.

The baby boy, named Leroy, lives with a foster mother in Capitol Heights, Md. On Wednesday afternoon, while his foster mother was at work, a social worker had planned to bring baby Leroy to visit with his biological mother.

The social worker got the baby settled into the backseat of a blue ZipCar, and then walked 15 to 20 feet across the lawn to get a forgotten bag. During that time, three men ran up and jumped into the car, said the social worker.

The men drove the car approximately four blocks before abandoning the vehicle. Police officers and detectives found the stolen car on Opus Avenue, but the suspects had already fled. K9 trackers were brought in to try to pick up the scents of the suspects.
