According to Twitter, several other people were sent to the hospital and associates of Smif N Wessun, were arrested and beaten. Smif N Wessun member Tek tweeted:

In the video, the NYPD can be seen assaulting a man and woman at 2:53, and a police officer hits rapper Rock of the group Heltah Skeltah at 4:35

Another overhead video shows the large police presence and police pushing a person into some garbage at 0:10 and attacking a man at 0:56.

The New York Times is reporting that judges Mark A. Ciavarella Jr. and Michael T. Conahan have plead guilty to charges that they took money to provide a privately owned youth jail with prisoners.

The answers became a bit clearer on Thursday as the judge, Mark A. Ciavarella Jr., and a colleague, Michael T. Conahan, appeared in federal court in Scranton, Pa., to plead guilty to wire fraud and income tax fraud for taking more than $2.6 million in kickbacks to send teenagers to two privately run youth detention centers run by PA Child Care and a sister company, Western PA Child Care.

While prosecutors say that Judge Conahan, 56, secured contracts for the two centers to house juvenile offenders, Judge Ciavarella, 58, was the one who carried out the sentencing to keep the centers filled.

Melissa Anderson, a writer for the Dallas Observer, wrote a review of the new Sandra Bullock movie, “The Blind Side.” She condemned the movie, which tells the tale of a large mute African American who moves in with a white Christian family, as a racist story about white saviors who save downtrodden African Americans. She writes:

Blind Side the movie peddles the most insidious kind of racism, one in which whiteys are virtuous saviors, coming to the rescue of blacks who become superfluous in narratives that are supposed to be about them.

She continues:

Viewers, however, are constantly reminded of the pathologies the black gentle giant has escaped: the crack-addicted mother, the thugs of the country-ghetto housing project who offer him a 40-ouncer. Life with benevolent white people gives Michael the golden opportunity to partake in one of the most patronizing, we-are-the-world scenes imaginable: dueting with S.J. on “Bust a Move.” S.J. becomes an unbearable martinet, bossing Michael around during drills for football practice, where the large lad shines as a left tackle at the Christian academy, eventually drafted to Ole Miss. But Michael is unable to figure out what he actually needs to do on the field—until his white mama explains it to him: “This team is your family. You protect them.”

She concludes:

The filmmakers would like to lull you to sleep with this milk of amnesia, hiding behind the fact that this bewilderingly condescending movie is based on an actual person—but one who you end up knowing almost nothing about.

Writer, Armond White had some very harsh things to say about the movie, “Precious” in an article in the New York Press. He blames Oprah Winfrey and Tyler Perry.

SHAME ON TYLER PERRY and Oprah Winfrey for signing on as air-quote executive producers of Precious.

Perry and Winfrey naively treat Precious’ exhibition of ghetto tragedy and female disempowerment as if it were raw truth. It helps contrast and highlight their achievements as black American paradigms—self-respect be damned.

He goes on to compare the movie to the “Birth Of A Nation,” the 1915 movie which portrayed Africans Americans as evil and stupid and the KKK as heroes.

Not since The Birth of a Nation has a mainstream movie demeaned the idea of black American life as much as Precious. Full of brazenly racist clichés (Precious steals and eats an entire bucket of fried chicken), it is a sociological horror show. Offering racist hysteria masquerading as social sensitivity, it’s been acclaimed on the international festival circuit that usually disdains movies about black Americans as somehow inartistic and unworthy.

Birth of a Nation glorified the rise of the Ku Klux Klan as a panicky subculture’s solution to social change. Precious hyperbolizes the class misery of our nation’s left-behinds—not the post- Rapture reprobates of Christianity’s last-days theories, but the Obama-era unreachables—including Precious’ Benetton-esque assortment of remedial school classmates. One explanation is that Precious permits a cultural version of that 1960s political controversy “benign neglect”—its agreed-upon selection of the most pathetic racial images and social catastrophes helps to normalize the circumstances of poverty and abandon that will never change or be resolved.You can think: Precious is just how those people are (although Cops and the Jerry Springer and Maury Povich shows offer enough evidence that white folks live low, too).

Rupert Murdoch, the Australian billionaire and owner of Fox and Fox news had an interview in Australia and stood by Glenn Beck’s comments that Obama was a racist.

“On the racist thing, that caused a [unintelligible],” Murdoch said in an interview with his Sky News Australia over the weekend. “But [Obama] did make a very racist comment about blacks and whites and so on, which he said in his campaign he would be completely above. And that was something which perhaps shouldn’t have been said about the President, but if you actually assess what he was talking about, [Beck] was right.”

Murdoch did not elaborate and say which Obama quote he believed to be racist.

In a recent radio interview, Rep. John Conyers, a democrat from Detroit, had some harsh words to say about President Barack Obama. While being interviewed by Rev. Horace Sheffield, from WGPR in Detroit, Conyers criticized Obama’s efforts to push health care reform.

“President Obama is sucking up to the wrong people and insurance companies as Obama pushed a weak health care package.”

He also had harsh words for President Obama about the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

“President Obama is getting bad advice from those clowns in the White House. We should be ending those wars now. America should be providing food instead of bombs from drones that kill innocent civilians.”

I am making this statement to apologize to the people that truly care about me for any angst that this situation has caused, and to thank them for their continued support. I am proud of what I have been able to do for so many others, and would like to let those persons know that I will continue to be there for them no matter what.

Recently, there has been a video surfacing on the internet of a white student being beat up by a black student on a school bus. Despite the fact that both black students and white students have been beat up on buses and at other places, Rush Limbaugh believes that the beating is due to Obama. Reports say that the fight was due to a disagreement over seating and was not racially motivated.

“I think the guy’s wrong. I think not only it was racism, it was justifiable racism. I mean, that’s the lesson we’re being taught here today. Kid shouldn’t have been on the bus anyway. We need segregated buses — it was invading space and stuff. This is Obama’s America.”

You put your kids on a school bus you expect safety but in Obama’s America the white kids now get beat up with the black kids cheering ‘yeah, right on, right on, right on.’ Of course everybody said the white kid deserved it he was born a racist, he’s white.

He also admitted to his own racism and justified it”

“If homosexuality being inborn is what makes it acceptable, why does racism being inborn not make racism acceptable?” the talk show host asked. “I’m sorry — I mean, this is the way my mind works. But apparently now we don’t choose racism, we just are racists. We are born that way. We don’t choose it. So shouldn’t it be acceptable, excuse — this is according to the way the left thinks about things.”
