The New York Daily News is reporting that court records show that Jimmy “Henchman” Rosemond has been named as a federal informant in court papers. Rosemond runs Czar Entertainment and manages rapper, “The Game” and was implicated in the 1994 shooting of Tupac Shakur.

Rosemond has given information at least three times to state and federal law enforcement officials since the mid-1990s, documents reveal.

One of Rosemond’s former lawyers even cited his repeated cooperation with the authorities in asking for leniency in a Los Angeles gun case.

He noted that Rosemond’s dime-dropping helped Brooklyn prosecutors send a man to jail – exactly what the “stop snitching” campaign rails against.

From Associated Press:

Two of the most powerful women in entertainment and fashion teamed up to throw a party in New York City.

Oprah Winfrey and Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, and Gap creative director Patrick Robinson co-chaired the annual Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute Gala Benefit on Monday night in New York.

This year’s theme celebrated the American woman.

Stars like Justin Timberlake, Taylor Swift, Sarah Jessica Parker and Jennifer Lopez were there. Many were accompanied by the designer who dressed them.

Winfrey walked the arrival line with Oscar de la Renta, wearing a navy couture gown by the designer.

She said she looked forward to going into the party and having a few shots of tequila.

WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama poked fun at Jay Leno, the comedian headlining the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner, and at former rival John McCain.

Obama dinged Leno as “the only person whose ratings fell more than mine.” Obama also said he was glad he was appearing before Leno.

Obama told the 3,000-strong mix of celebrities, elected officials, political appointees and journalists that “we’ve all seen what happens when you take the time slot after Leno.” Comic Conan O’Brien left NBC after his stint hosting the Tonight Show following Leno didn’t work out.
