Thanks 4 not mentioning the same article was posted a few hours earlier by me as the story broke in the Dallas News.Thought I would throw that out there along with the fact my profile is public open to everyone. Now to your question numb isnt the word ,but dumb is.The Moats case garnered publicity only because he was a football player had it been anyone else Bp and nobodyelse would have touch this story.I commend Officer Powell for resigning because the focus of all this attention shouldnt have been on him ,but the rogue cops out there beating and killing unarmed and innocent people,as usually tho we squander this opportunity to highlight the problem by debating something less important.January 2009 a Dallas police and shot and killed by a suspect he was serving a warrant on a suspect.March 18,2009 Officer powell tries to pull over a vehicle disbeying traffic signs and his lights ,when they stopp at the hospital two guys and three female exit the vehicle in a hurry and hes badly out numbered,he tells the people to freeze and put their hands on the car where had see them ,no cooperation is giving then moats explains his story.Okay Powell could have handle the rest of the situation differently but no one seems to realized the gravity of the situation from the officers stand point, which is the law was broken and initially there wasnt respect or cooperation from the suspect violator, had this been New York or Chicago one them may well have been killed by a trigger happy cop. Also lost here is you do not risk people lives running lights and stop sign to say good bye to someone dying;it might have been justified to rush someone to the hospital to save their live tho.Another point that was brought up was race,I also think Powell would have done the same thing to a white person on that night. Then I also wonder had Moats been white and the officer black would the out rage have been the no,you would have said”Just like a white person thinking they above the law” and”That officer shouldnt be disciplined if he was white they wouldnt have done anything to him”.We cant have it both ways thats exactly why people like Rush Limbaugh are so popular with racist because you do make it seem as tho we are playing both sides of the fence with the race card. And finally to end I applaud Officer Powell for resigning now if we could get the real villains who are beating and killing our people while hiding behind a badge then the world be a lot better place.

I’m glad that cop quit. He should of been fired for what he done. The police are outta control in this country. Thinking they can do what they want because they have a badge on. You’re doing a job just like everyone else. You’re no more special than other occupations.

He was a fool. He knew he fucced up severely. Cops can’t afford to be making stupid moves bc they are supposed to be what the people trust and the fact that that is too questionable in this world today is bad enough.

    He better have resigned. SMDH

Are you serious? Police officers are out of control in todays time. As a whole, the organization act as if they are gods. Common sense should have taken place with the officer at the hospital. I understand the situation but over fifteen years ago, I was in a similar situation. My family had our hazard lights on and carefully drove through red lights. A police pulled behind us with his lights on and followed us until we made it to the hospital. No gun drawn, no attitude, just a concern what was going on. Most issues today with officers always involve a white person. I hate to say but the majority of white people that are officers today are racist and need the power of a badge to validate there existance. I really believe that the officer on hand should have lost his job.

Are you serious? Most cops that I know (my brother being a very well known and accomplished police officer included)thinks that this cop was wrong on more levels than one. When you see someone dashing towards the hospital for any reason most cops will stop you and ultimately escort you the rest of the way. I dont applaud this guy for anything that he did. He handled the situation like a person that is totally not trained. Look up the comments made by the cheif of police in this case. Dont be blinded brother..
