Denzel Washington Attends Son’s 1st College Game
STATE COLLEGE, Pa. — Actor Denzel Washington was playing proud father as he cheered on his son Malcolm’s first game with the University of Pennsylvania basketball team.
Washington sat three rows behind Penn’s bench Friday night during the Quakers’ season opener at Penn State. Wearing a black sweat shirt and black cap pulled down low over his forehead, the Hollywood star went virtually unnoticed in the Jordan Center crowd.
He declined to answer a reporter’s question before the game, waving his arms and nodding in the direction of the Penn bench.
The 5-foot-9 Malcolm Washington is a walk-on guard at Penn. He did not play in Penn’s 70-55 loss.
Penn’s visit to Penn State to start the new season was perfect timing for Washington, who is in central Pennsylvania filming the movie “Unstoppable.”

hard to believe Denzel is so old now…Its a shame because sometimes it’s hard to watch one of the top 5 actors in hollywood loose his luster. Many stars dont age well. But denzel is so powerful it wont take much for him to make a hit movie. I guess my fav actor next to him would be will smith.

Denzel is probably the best black male actor in Hollywood along with Samuel L. Jackson.They both are true inspirations to black men from young to old because their movies show that blac men have t strive for greatness no matter what.2 Thumbs up to Denzel in the Great Debators and American Gangster.

I totally understand why Denzel is looking like that….the overly excited and fake way people carry in central pa, is beyond expression…it’s a hyper, nervous, fake way he could probably do without..hahahahah!!! Or is it that sing song Omish accent?? Hmmmm
I am one of Denzel’s biggest fans! His acting is phenomenal and he seems to be an amazing husband, father and person. I know a couple people who have been privileged to meet him & they both said he is the most down to earth and nice person you could ever meet. I hope his son does well this season
