See people are on here commenting about the Dr. should not be prosecuted and why are they trying so hard to put the blame on someone, maybe it MJ’s own fault. The big picture has to be looked @. Nevermind the fact of the dr. administering the medicine to MJ and whether MJ knew or not the dangers of it. If YOU THE DOCTOR know there is even a percent of a chance that something can go wrong AND IT DOES, you don’t wait almost an hour before getting help. The 911 call should have came through immediately after finding MJ even before he started CPR. Better safe than sorry! There were too many other people in the house that could have been on that 911 call watching the SO CALLED DOCTOR and MAKING SURE he was worried about reviving MJ and not no dang ole Medicine Vials….That’s what he needs to go to jail for….not for giving him the medicine regardless of if he was paid to do it or not, the fact that HE KNEW it could be fatal and he left the room WITHOUT making sure someone was in the room watching MJ until he got back, and 2, the fact that he spent 47 MINUTES making non emergency related calls BEFORE the 911 call even came through. It took you two days to finally tell the police where these bags were you were so worried about, and WTH were you so worried about some cream at Mike’s house after he passed….jus fishy and messy… PITIFUL AND SAD!!!!

Wow!!!!!!! So if someone doesn’t get caught for a crime, then it is NOT a crime?? Hmmm, makes one wonder where integrity comes into play. Yes, there might have been other doctors administering drugs to Michael, but Conrad was the one who administer the dosage to CAUSE his DEATH!! What about that is not clear. As for his family and friends not being there for him…first, they are not on trial and secondly…not doing all you can to stop someone from taking his/her life is not at all the same as just taking someone’s life! This doctor is a licensed meidical practioner who took an oath to be responsible. No one forced him to feed Michael the inappropriate drug amounts or inadequate drug combination and that is what is the factor here…it was not the drugs alone, but the quantity and combination that no one except a doctor could know the consequences yet he chose to provide them anyway. Just place yourself in the family’s shoes…they couldn’t be there by his side always and surely there were issues needing to be addressed with MJ, however, if this so-called professional had elected to ignore MJ’s plea to do something unhealthy and advised him otherwise or just not partake at all, maybe he would still be alive, but most certainly, Conrad would not be the one with warrant to defend himself. He made an unlawful and inrresponsible decision and he must pay!!

Why is this man being charged? Come on now he is just the fall guy. Anyone with a brain knew Michael Jackson had issues for years. I think those who were close to him should be charged with aiding SMS- Slow Motion Suicide. It was apparent that he had issues. People tend to judge where they shouldn’t. He was not the 1st doctor to give him drugs just the doctor who got caught. What about the folks near and dear to him-instead of blaming someone shouldn’t they be blaming themselves for doing NOTHING. Absolutely nothing to help their loved one.

This is a case about whether a doctor who was licenced to practice medicine be held responsible for the death of someone he administered a potentially fatal combination of drugs to, regardless of why we may think the ultimate reason(s) as to why he did it or who might have been the force of his actions, they were HIS actions nonetheless! He knew the possibilities and still elected to administer the drug so he is indeed liable. Maybe there could have been someone else or others to go down with him and this may be revealed later, but he is the doctor and he should be held accountable for his actions; that’s what this case is about…HIS actions and the cause of death! Any of us could be in a situation where someone might beg to be rid of pain or misery and ask us to not get in the way of them wanting to jump off of a building or something to the effect and in that case, we may be ridicule because some may have felt we could have talked them out of it or done something more. However, if we decided to help free the pain by simply pushing them off of that building to just end it all, there would have been very little argument that we (you or I) indeed caused that death. It is just a simple case of someone using his authority in a very inappropriate manner for personal gain…sad but it’s the reality.

AEG the news media and other heavy hitters who stand to gain from Michael death, know the majority of our young African American generation including their parent eyes are not open they can’t see the trees through the forest. You can put anything in front of African American communities face and they will eat it up. Like I said before, if he had bought the drugs off the street, then it would have been the fault of him and the dope seller, but when it’s suppose to be a professional, someone who sworn to be a prfessional in his practices at all times, there is just NO excuse!! Dr. Conrad brought himself down with greed and should not be allowed to practice if he can be influenced with massive amounts of money. This happened to Michael and his family, but it could have been anyone. I feel he will be indicted and it will be well deserved!!!!!!!!

I also want to see Dr. Murray behind bars too, he had no business giving Mike those drugs anyway and he had plenty of time to call his girlfriend, Michael needed to be monitored, there was no time to talk to her and I’m going to agree with Loyalty, Joe may have went too far with those children but at least none of them were on the streets and they didn’t get a girl and neither 1 of his girls including his illegitmate child got pregnant in their early or mid teens not even at 18 but I don’t know what he and Mrs.Jackson went wrong with Jermaine and Randy, both of their ex-wives sued them for child support and accused them of domestic abuse. 1. 60%+ Black children today are born OUT OF WEDLOCK (Papa Joe has one also)
2. If the murder rates of Black-on-Black crime are any indication, most of their (the 60%) fathers do NOT play any meanigful role in their lives!

One of my friends who NEVER even KNEW his OWN father, jumped on this bulls***-bandwagon: ‘Papa Joe was only in it for the money’! I’m sorry, but Papa Joe raised 9 – count ‘em – 9 children w/o knowing ANY of them would be famous (Marlon’s twin was stillborn). Most Black fathers aren’t around past CONCEPTION (60%)!!! You can find these statistics in Ebony, Jet, etc.

Yeah, yeah, I know some of you send your chlid -support checks every month & have every-other-week visitation. Newsflash: that ain’t raising no child!!!! A REAL father is there 24-7 – not part-time!

There was an interview w/ some of Papa Joe’s old co-workers. They used to give this man part of their lunch, because he would rather go HUNGRY, so he could buy instruments & material for their costumes (Momma Katherine made them), so they could have EVERY OPPORTUNITY!! He worked in a steelmill, doing heavy labor on an empty stomach, SACRIFICING for his children! THAT’S a father – that’s a REAL Black MAN – hell, a real man PERIOD!

Fathers AND mothers today are selfish & put their own needs first – the child(ren) is (an) afterthought!

I’ve been a J-5 fan since 1968- 69! Yes he was strict, as were most Black parents of that era. I won’t bore you with the historical aspect of corporal punishment in the Black community (slavery AND Jim Crow – helloooo!), but again, read your history folks or talk to your parents. Or read Ebony or Jet.

White people have no clue, although they are indirectly responsible for this phenomenon, but shame on you Black folks for just jumpin’ on the bandwagon! And the sad fact is that quite a few of you had absentee fathers or are yourselves absentee fathers – or have babies out-of-wedlock (often by more than one man)!

This does NOT apply to ALL Blacks:
1 – my father was a full-time dad, married to my mother
2 – both of my brothers are full-time dads, married to their wives.
3 – neither my father or brothers, nor my sister & myself have had any babies out-of-wedlock. In my immediate family – NO illegitimacy – NO criminal records – NO drugs – NO drop-outs, etc.

I think this is much closer to the norm for Blacks my age – early 50′s.

Papa Joe did the best he could w/ the hand life dealt him. Remember – when you point a finger at someone, you have THREE pointing back at YOU!! I don’t expect whites to understand & b/c the ties are rooted in slavery, most are too embarrassed/ guilty to even WANT to. Slavery’s been dead for over 100 years (not JIM CROW, though), & family traditions die slowly, even in this enlightened day.

Remember, theses children were raised in the 50′s & 60′s. The Voting Rights Act was passed in 1965. Black children were (even ‘up North’) were in danger ‘accidently’ killed left & right by white policemen. Papa Joe ruled w/ an iron fist & out ot 9 kids, lost NONE to the streets!!! What they’ve done since is on them. Shame, shame, shame on us Blacks for attacking a good Black father! Take notes & incorporate a little more love & understanding, but most of all – TAKE NOTE!
