I really don’t understand what was so wrong about Regina King saying that black women shouldn’t limit themselves to black men. Black men don’t limit themselves to black women. If you check the forums, you see some black men encouraging others to date outside the race for whatever hateful reason. Many state that black men don’t belong to black women, and etc. So what was so wrong about what she said? It’s not like she said to stop dating them, just not to limit one’s self to them. I too find it very hipocrytical (sp?) of Regina King to speak out on alleged slight towards people of color with regards to Emmy nominations. She has clearly stated that Black women ‘expand their options’ (read: date White Men or other non-blacks). it could be the physiological jealousy in black people in general. I am a stylist and if you have a good texture of hair you dont need much to get it straight. My mother has beautiful hair and she is accused of using relaxer or a weave,which sassy obviously has neither. And my mother has a darker complexion. If sassy was yella the texure of her hair would be no question! No offense to sassy at all but i do 15-20 perms a day and that is not the case with her hair.
