By Casey Gane-McCalla February 10, 2009 11:40 am

Domestic abuse is a worldwide problem but it only seems to get attention when it involves someone famous. Hopefully these incidents will highlight the way people look at domestic violence. Beating a woman is way worse than using steroids or weed and perpetrators of domestic violence, whether they be famous or unknown should be treated accordingly.

this comment is not about chris or riahnna its about abuse it self, domestic abused is about control, alot of men dont kno how too control there self, and if a women hit a man its a damb good reason why she did, maybe he was cheating, not showing the proper attention idk.. but a girl or women dont hit a guy unless one of those reason, then a boy or man hits back… i really dont care, too me thats like you can control your self, its plenty of ways too do that without any physical abuse, and im talkin about normal men and women, not crazy men and women who kill eachother!!!

remember how george bush used the 911 attacks to distract us while he started a fraudulent, unlawful war in iraq? well… take your mind off of chris and rihannas situation and focus on the twisting and exaggeration tactics of the media. they don’t give a f**k about chris or rihanna. they are looking to figure out how they can use their perdic**ent to inject more poison into the whole of us. black people, chris and rihanna comes from all of our bloodlines. they are a part of our family. and you know we all have this problem in some form or fashion. WE need to stop adding to the fire that the media is trying to blow out of proportion by keeping silent about it and keeping a close eye on the original enemy. why would jay-z say he’s a walking dead man? did beyonces father say that he was a dead man for dating his daughter because she was too young? if he didn’t have status and money, that would be the case right? pay attention to the real enemy folks. peace!

these m-effs are unbelievable. chris is a kid. a KID! he needs to be taught, not terminated. and the media needs to stay the f**k out of it because all of this s**t stems from what media outlet owners earlier parents did to us. they’re just really anxious to have a new face to demonize the men in our race. now watch what the do!!!! now is the time for us to start watching out for all the subliminal messages the media can and will send out. don’t be surprised if you see rihanna in a movie where she stars as a woman in a blissful romantic relationship with a man of another race. don’t be surprised if opra all of a sudden decides to host a battered womens convention in france where rosie o-donell is the main speaker with a few male guest: dr. phil, tom cruise, brad pitt, and to desquise it all, she’ll invite t.d. jakes and tyler perry. watch how they use chris brown to smack us all in the face one more time. watch how they will try to use rihanna as the stepping stone to subliminally tear black relationships apart even further. n****rs are going to learn one day.

If he beat her that severely then i promise u it wasn’t the first time he obviously has some anger managment issues!!! my prayers are w/ rhianna!!!

  • 2-20-2009 8:59 am

i agree with you NubianMoon1998, right is right, people always tell the man to walk away but hell women are just as crazy jumping on a man and it was said she attacked him first and he was bruised as well, men get abused as well listening to the walk away method and women take that as a reason to attack a man but dont want to be hit back please

  • 2-17-2009 10:00 pm

Seriously size has nothing to do with it. If your grown enough to put your hands on somebody you should be grown enough to take it. If you say its wrong for men to hit women then it should be wrong for women to hit men. It cant be both ways cause I know alot of women that can beat their man down and will not think twice about doing it and the man just walks away. Im sorry but, if Im a man and a female hits me its only so much you gonna take even after you tell them to stop 5 or 6 times. It has to go for both.

STD or not no man has a right hit a woman. That’s why you need to be careful with people now a days. But I’m sorry you shouldn’t have put his hands on her. I understand anger and everything but he should have controlled his self. I mean look how little she is to him on top of all of that. I’m sorry but he was plain wrong.

Abuse is often mental as well as physical. I married at 18 – e was 23, and he slowly gained complete control of who I was. I thought I still owned myself, I was wrong. over the years he asserted that control nad when he decided to have an affair, he decided that I would stay put and learn to share him with her, and take what he gave. When I protested he hit me. Fortunately or not the real me returned, and I struck back. He learned that his control was no longer valid. But all women are not as empowered as I was. You see I was a bused as a child and had learned to be a suvivior, I learned to fight back and take care of myself. aftermore that 25 years of marriage and 5 kids, I had the strength to get out. I took my lack of education(his insistance) and We left. The struggle has been well worth it, I have never gained the funancial status I desired or truly need, but my self esteem and that of my children is awesome. I have a bi-polar son (26), who I am sure would not have made it with his father around. My son is getting better as time goes on. We have to remamber that we are humans and we need to stand up for ourselves. I try to help children to understand how much they have to offer the world and how to be proud of themselves. I work in a local Black High School as a secretary.

    LADIISMOOCH YOU A DUMB BRAWD
SUCK IT UP??? OH LOOK YET ANOTHER CHICK ON CHRIS BROWN’S NUT SACK
WHAT HE DID TO HER IS NOT OKAY
NO FEMALE SHOULD HAVE TO JUST “SUCK IT UP”
AND WOW I NEVER KNEW ABOUT MOST OF THESE CASES
    SOME MEN JUST DISGUST ME
A MAN BETTER NEVER DO THAT S**T TO ME

  • 2-13-2009 4:16 pm

Well I think Rihanna should suck it up in our eveyday life females get there ass beat by their men and they suck it up. Now she wants to tell that chris was hitting on her why didn’t she do it when he first hit you, what are you scared to fight back he is not that bigger than you and if you wre that scared of him you should of just hoped on his ass because a scared person will hurt you.As for chris I love you and will always listen to you music.even though people would say if your mother was being beat and you didn’t like it then why would you beat on a woman well truth is…. they don’t even know in your mind in your heart you know its wrong an yet that’s how you deal with your frustrations.GOD BLESS YALL HE WILL WORK IT OUT.

    @goldie4_life

…and any other man or woman that agrees with her-Thats the dumbest shyt i ever heard. A man is physically stronger than a woman. Unless she hit you with a weapon or is big and strong enough to beat you up equally-there is no excuse.

Look how small Rihanna is compared to Chris or Any man for that matter. Any man would have the ability to easily restrain her without any physical evidence.

I dont understand whats going on in ppls heads these days-especially black ppl that tell them its ok for men to mistreat and basically shyt on black women. Even black women themselves are accepting of this-thats a sick mentality & you all need to get your head examined.

Ya’ll are sad individuals and there’s no place for you in progress.

I am a 26 year old survivor of domestic violence. My my abuser was my 23 year old ex. There were several different occasions of abuse before the one that nearly took my life. I see so many comments about “if a woman hits a man first”. In that case a man should call the police. It is NEVER ok to hit anyone…male or female. I admit to hitting my ex in self-defence and looking back I see that that only added fuel to the fire. Had I called the police the first time it would have never gotten to the point of him attempting to kill me. Voilence has no place in a relationship…PERIOD!!

  • 2-11-2009 4:44 am

I agree with all of u, but I also feel that a women should not strike a man and not expect to be hit back. Domestiic violence is’nt a man just hitting a women now a days it goes both ways and punishment should be the same for both.

  • 2-11-2009 3:32 am

the funniest one is OJ… go on and just say he killed her… lol, why beat around the bush…

  • 2-11-2009 2:01 am

So how u correct it Twist? You put her in time out or make or go to the corner? Naw that dont work. Women will constantly keep pushin you and pushin you when she know she can. Especially if she know you wont do anything about it.

  • 2-11-2009 1:46 am

i dont get it everyone is hollerin dont put your hands on a woman but if she strikes you first your supposed to just walk away and women dont know when to leave well enough alone they think leave me alone or get the hell outta my face means get in my face more and yell louder while i dont think hitting women is right in anyway i dont think women getting in a mans face talking crazy is right either

  • 2-10-2009 11:26 pm

That still does not give him the right to put his hands on her or any man to put his hands on a woman period, even if there is a cause.

  • 2-10-2009 6:32 pm

Chris Brown is to young to be going threw this, I think he should leave her alone for good. I think this is his first time,(my first time hearing of such). I still love Cris Brown and Rihanna. The Person pointing the finger has three fingers pointing back at him. People are doing all kinds of wicked things these days. Some come to the light and some don’t. However there’s always a cause! Open your ears and close your mouth!
