Al Roker has landed a morning show on NBC-owned The Weather Channel, it was announced Wednesday morning.
“Wake Up With Al” will air from 6-7 AM ET on The Weather Channel and will feature Roker (from New York) and co-host Stephanie Abrams (from Atlanta).
The show plans to “explore all aspects of the day’s weather, combining Roker’s warm style with the accuracy, dependability and expertise of The Weather Channel,” according to the release. Roker “will appear both in the studio, interacting with guests and viewers, and in the field, reporting on the most compelling weather stories of the day.”
The show will premiere this summer.
