Coach Carter Actor Faces Charges For Selling Social Security Numbers

Antwon Tanner, who currently plays the character Skills on “One Tree Hill,” surrendered Thursday in Brooklyn Federal Court to face shocking charges of allegedly selling bogus Social Security numbers and cards after he was caught in a sting operation.

Tanner, 34, has no prior criminal record. He faces up to five years in prison if convicted.

“It’s really sad,” said a source familiar with the investigation. “He’s got a real career.”

Tanner pleaded not guilty at the arraignment and was released on a $250,000 bond. He and his defense lawyer refused to answer reporters’ questions.

    I swear when I first read the headline I thought of this boi and Cruz. I knew it was one of them. But damn boi! Don’t we have enough identity theft in the world already.     I guess actors are feeling the economy crisis too huh! I mean something like that isn’t worth it, it really isn’t cause eventually one will get caught! it might all be yipppee skippy at the beginning but it will catch up with one. Its sad, cause he had a tv career that probably could of led into a promising career.
