Outrage As “Good Morning America” Books Chris Brown

ABC has booked Rihanna-beater Chris Brown for an interview and a performance on “Good Morning America” — right after the network canceled guy-kisser Adam Lambert.
Brown will do a taped tell-all with Robin Roberts, followed by a performance of songs from his new album. But TV insiders say the appearance, slated to air the week after next, has outraged feminists and gay activists who wonder why a convicted girlfriend abuser is more palatable to the network than an openly gay man who broke no laws with his raunchy performance on the “American Music Awards.”
An ABC source said, “The network is giving a mixed message — that it doesn’t trust someone who shocked with an unpredictable show and a gay kiss, but then it is happy to go ahead with Chris Brown, who was convicted of felony assault.”
ABC News has insisted that Lambert’s sexual orientation did not play a role in its decision to pull the plug on his “GMA” appearance this week.

I don’t really care for RiRi, she got the beatdown and did not defend herself (her words..”js wanted it to stop” How you gonna look dude in the eyes, see he has “no soul” and take hits to the face, get choked–still wondering how he managed to do all of that, including biting her while driving that small as car with him being so damn tall. Hope they do a video showing this actually all went down!). I can’t stand that they wanted to make her a spokesperson for abused ppl..if someone is attacking you, I want the message to be: fight for your life, if you gotta knock the s**t outta that person in order to survive, you betta get it in!
I like both Chris Brown and Rhianna, they are both very talented and no matter what happened between them I still listen to each of their songs. What happened has happened, it is a done deal, no one can go back and change that. Rhianna appears to have let that part of her life be her past, and she is moving along fine, and I think Chris wants to do the same, move forward. But if people keep bringing up the past it only hinders the future. Let them both have their careers, Chris has been charged, and now let him continue with his music. People do change if they really want to change. Chris needs to keep on performing. Rhianna your great too, and I am glad she didn’t let that incident put her down. They are two very strong young people, who still have a great future ahead of themselves, but not with each other. It is time to forget the past and look towards the future. Other people have done worst. Forgive and forget.

I find it fascinating how this ordeal will have it’s 1st birthday in February and people are still walking around talking like this is fresh off the press. Wow…I love how they say “rhianna beater Chris Brown.” It seems as though Rhianna has moved on, why can’t everyone else. I’m not downplaying or saying it wssn’t wrong, but I am saying he seems to be trying to move forward and people need to let him. I do agree that it is some serious bull that less than a week after cancelling Lambert for his performance they schedule Chris Brown. I think they did that intentionally to cause a stir, which of course will up the ratings. It’s messed up all the way around, that’s why I don’t watch ABC, NBC, or CBS (except Desperate Housewives, and yes I am so ashamed lol)

Even though I’m still not particually fond of Chris Brown, I don’t see anything wrong with them inviting him on their show.I’m not buying his weak apology but we should all really move past this. Besides, Rhianna’s aleady moved on..

This is really upsetting that they are treating Chris Brown in a harmful way. Everyone needs to forget about it and forgive. He is a young guy who made a mistake, is sorry and is paying for it by critiscism and charges. He will always be a great entertainer and I feel he will grow up into a nice man. It is never mentioned that there are always two sides to a story. It is not right for a man to put his hands on a woman- but these new age girls that think they are so hard challenge men that they feel they can get away with and are surprised at the outcome. Woman should always stand up for themselves but not provoke a man so much that it gets out of control. I like them both and it needs to be forgiven. He is not and old man that has been doing this to women all his life and getting away with it. I wonder about the Tiger incident!!

they need to get over it already, everyone deserves a second chance and i don’t think rhianna is as innocent as she proclaims to be, i believe that they’ve both hit and struck each other in the past but she tried to make it seem as if she did nothing to provoke the attack. Not saying that is an excuse for hitting a woman but i know how we as women can use our words to cut like a knife and provoke a man into a blind rage because i myself am guilty of that very thing, so her trying to throw chris under the bus as if she was so innocent is not fair. i personally feel like she may have hauled off and slapped the dog sh*t out of him while they were arguing and i believe that was maybe the catalyst that started it all but hopefully we’ll get the whole story from chris so don’t try and censor him because there are two sides to every story.
I am so glad that they decided to let Chris Brown perform. I mean, so what, he hit Rihanna? That’s not a big deal, it was over 9 months ago. It’s old news, he’s doing his community service and they have to put that stuff behind him. I mean, it’s not like Chris Brown didn’t lose a lot of his scheduled performances because of it, he lost a lot of them when it first happened, but when a gay guy loses just one performance, it’s all a big deal?? wtf, f*ck the gay guys, I’m not homophobic, but if you’re gonna kiss a dude, wait till the damn show is over. He said that “Madonna and Britney Spears did the same thing.” What is he, in elementary school? He sounds like a little kid who gets caught doing something bad and he says, “but bobby did it too.” Anyway, Madonna and Britney did that on cable t.v., not network t.v. Adam should know that the rules are stricter for network t.v. than cable t.v. So, I don’t even understand why he’s surprised that his performance go canceled. Little kids probably saw him kissing that guy and they asked their parents, why he was doing that. ABC doesn’t want an image like that.
