In celebration of his milestone 50th birthday, esteemed pastor, gospel singer and spiritual leader Donnie McClurkin threw an event fit for a King.

The extravagant event took place at New York’s majestic Oheka Castle. McClurkin played host to a plethora of close friends and family all on hand to celebrate his birthday in style.

One of McClurkin’s most popular songs, “Stand,” is best known for the message: “We fall / But we get back up.” On this occasion, McClurkin “stands” proudly at the threshold of 50 wise, proud and accomplished.

In an exclusive interview, Chief Content Officer Smokey D. Fontaine sat down with McClurkin to get a sense of his perspective on the big 50, as well as all of the trials, tribulations and experiences that got him to where he is today.

Hear him speak about the many “falls” that have allowed him to stand and celebrate this momentous occasion quite literally as the king of this stunning castle.
