separation of church and state…obviously the US can’t seem to follow their own laws. If there is supposed to be a separation of church and state, then why is gay marriage being looked down upon because of the Bible. It’s a complete contradiction. I think that the government needs to make a standard government marriage system that DOES NOT involve the church, so that ALL couples can be acknowledged and get the rights they deserve. Until then, the government is just continually contradictiong itself. The Bible basically says it’s wrong for a man to lay with another man. It doesn’t say anything about sex. So basically, I can say that it’s wrong for a father to lay with his son. I can say it’s wrong for a brother to lay with his brother. I can say it’s wrong for an uncle to lay with his nephew. See how easily people twist The Word to fit what they want to believe? So, now calling a BLACK woman BLACK makes the guy a RACIST? My God, this makes a case for disbanding public schools! SEPARATION of CHURCH and STATE? There is no such law, only a manipulation of a few words in the founding doc**ents. The phrase is not even in the constitution. Like abortion rights, this is only a case of JUDGE MADE LAW.

As for some guy calling Wanda Sykes a “black Dyke”; She IS black. She says she is PROUD of being GAY. The whole world (even Holland) recognizes the word DYKE as descriptive of GAY WOMEN. That makes Wanda Sykes a BLACK DYKE. What’s the problem here? Is that supposed to be worse than her wishing that Rush Limbaugh DIE? After having read through some of this commentary it’s perfectly reasonable to see why black people remain at the back of the bus on issues. We still have this tether of ignorance around our necks put there by religion. It was placed there by our so called “benevolent” captors from so many years ago. If people are reading the Bible they’ll also recall that slavery was seen as an acceptable thing in “God’s” eyes. How about today? People have used “God’s” word to justify killing people (black people included) for so many things it blows me away that Christians call themselves such a thing. The Jews have never lived down killing Christ (which is a contradiction in terms). I had a white person tell me about miscegenation and how “God” doesn’t like black people and white people having sex with each other. Really? I suppose “God” shouldn’t have put people of different colors and races on the same damn planet; that would have led to them talking with each other. Later on they certainly would have ended up dancing with one another or perhaps even enslaving one another–but interbreeding? No way!!! And as long as black people have been getting duped by the Bible for being black and worthy of being enslaved what makes us so damn judgmental about homosexuals? I don’t get that one. Homosexuals have the same damn status that black people had (still have) in the Jim Crow south. Remember that black people? Did you forget how second class you were? How can you sit there on the one hand and quote the Bible about something that would have been you a few years previously? Don’t tell me I’m confusing the issue. Jesus didn’t mention the homosexuals because homosexuals had probably figured out the “don’t ask, don’t tell” rule about religious people. Nevermind if you’re black, a witch or a Jew–those are dead giveaways. Black people really need to quit being amnesiacs like their right wing conservative holocaust deniers. Hello people, my take on homosexuality is this, it should be calssified as a sickness of the mind, a chemical imballance in the body, an electrical short circuit in the message relay system. That is my take. It is not a sin, just like people are born with fused limbs, cojoined twins, medicine can fix all of these. Homosexuality can be cured. It has no real purpose, it produces no offsprings. For men, the act is repulsive, women are cleaner, but still questionable. I dot have any ill will against gay people.

The purpose of a man and a woman being together is to create life by a process called reproduction. We human beings are the only things that turn gay. I’ve never seen a gay dog, cat, cow, or any other animal. I’ve never seen anyone take a lamp plug(male) and stick it into another lamp to produce light. It is placed into an outlet(female)then the lamp produces light.
homosexuality is wrong. Anytime you have to wear a strap-on to have sex(ladies). Something is wrong with that picture. Anytime you have to consistantly use petroleum jelly(men), something is wrong.
A woman body is designed to recieve a man’s body. (No need to go to the store to buy extras). people who think that being gay is right are confused. Its unatural and a perversion of what God intended, a union between a man and a woman.

I believe in this anyone who wants to be married should be married regardless of gender. You know about 50 or 60 years ago, Black people couldn’t marry outside of our race. We couldn’t even associate with white people in regards to marriage? God loves all of his children regardless of what they do in the bedroom. It’s sad that family values have to do with a mother and father when half of the divorce rate in this country ends in divorce.
