I am saddened by the loss as one that I am glad to say I had the fortune of experiencing his unfathomable talent while he was yet alive. The tragedy in this exists in that there was so much more that he had to offer the world. We have MJ to thank for the myriad of artists who emulate him in style and sound today. He changed the face of music for the better. He was a groundbreaker in the the field of video/movie production, so we have lost an unmatched talent in many areas of the music industry. There are many “blunders” that are forgiveable, but being a pervert is not one of them. I loved Mike’s music back in the day he had serious issues the last 20 plus years. I never believed the molestation allegations for the simple fact, that he just wanted to be around children because as we can remember those of the 50′s and 60 era and even those younger that saw the Jackson family movie which was their biography. Michael and the others were in the singing career at a very young age. I remember only hearing about the Jackson’s and the Osmonds during the time when I grew up. These star kids do not have a childhood really, and that’s why Michael wanted to just do so much for children the contributions he made to facilitate the children and all and then he took time out of his busy career to have 3 children and though he was famous, I have no doubt those children are spoiled and give lots of attention and he enjoyed being a dad to them. I know he loved his career and he was blessed to be the “king of pop” but many hours and days recording…. no soccer, no basket ball, no proms more than likely or few and far between. So his contributions to children is how he made up for “lost time” so to speak. I have been around a minute and from what I have seen of this world is that anyone that makes it big, buzzards just rip and peck and tear at them trying to find garbage to pull them down. I often say that Satan has more patience than Job the great man of the Bible that had lots of patience in his trial. I say this because Job only went through his trial for a few short years. between 3-8 years. I have to go back and read the story, but Satan will wait 20, 30, 50 years just for the opportunity to destroy a vibrant marriage, a career, a company. He doesn’t care and he doesn’t have to have a reason. Now I know Michael was not perfect but none of us are and the threshold he just crossed we will all have to cross one day. I do agree with this writer. I told my husband that Michael Jackson died of a broken heart as well. I did always defend Michael on the sexual offender issue. I never ever believed that he was guilty, not even once. I did love Michael Jackson, and whenever I watched his movie (his lifes story), I knew then that he was gentle and people took advantage of him. No, until this day, I never believed the rumors. People were jealous of MJ because he was the greatest pop star ever, and they know it. May Allah have mercy on his soul and grant him Paradise.

I never thought of him as a pedophile, but rather someone with deep Phychological issues. A deep denial of his black skin, the wigs to maintain the straight hair, the disassociation with adults in favor of playing with children. That in itself was odd to me only because, I personally never feel the need to be around a bunch of kids. I avoid children’s birthday parties, opting instead to send a gift with my daughter who has a five year old so we get frequent invites.
But if he never had a childhood, was abused by his dad or any of the other things that are suggested, that would explain some of his issues.

I agree with the woman below that said she thinks that Michael died of a broken heart. It is possible, my sister died from a broken heart so I know that it can happen. Her mate of 30 yrs passed, she passed 10 days later sitting upright in a chair with a smile on her face. Wierd, but true.

Michael lost the faith of what he thought were loyal followers. He lost friendships, he lost Neverland and he lost his self-respect. Those things had to be devastating for him. His children are probably what sustained him to this point.

Also, a lot of the drugs they claim he took like Zoloft and Xanax are also hallucinagens. Along with the Opinates he was taking for pain, it’s amazing that he was able to last as long as he did. He was married to Elvis Presley’s daughter Lisa Marie. She must be thinking about how her father and ex-husband possibly died in the exact same manner. An overdose of painkillers.

that’s courage. you didn’t do it when he was alive – true – but doing it at all is courage. thank you for being the only one with any power or presence to say what i have been saying to my daughter ever since i heard the news – that he died of a broken heart. you’re right – people were quick to believe. his “not guilty” in a court that clearly wanted his blood means nothing. was his behavior strange? yes. was it criminal? was it everything suggested? no. he’d have been convicted. his body and his home defiled by cops (and we all know how they can be), his things sold before his eyes – even a carousel horse carved with an inscription from elizabeth taylor, his whole life disassembled, his family not even helping him not to be mis-managed by promoters and doctors and god knows who else!! how could anyone take it? my heart broke for him before, and it breaks for him now, and my only solace is that he is in a finer place where he can find the peace he couldn’t find here. heaven is a better place for an angel. but i will miss him SO MUCH!!!

I was very sad to hear about the passing of MJ but I have to admit I do feel that we should be ashamed for just having his back now.I’m guilty to and if I could say I’m sorry for all of his pain he had to endure over the years I would.He was never allowed to have a childhood or to be a teenager he was “an entertainer” that wanted so bad to be “Just a child and a teenager”But maby now he will get that peace that he desired for so long.RIP MIKE we’ll miss you!!!

It is sad and tragedy, as the public watched his life sprial out of control, no one did anything to help him. The one gripe I have is that everywhere in every car that roll by my neighborhood his music is blasting.I have no regrets when it comes to my Spiritual Brother.No matter what came out I still played his music old and new,and I never judged him on hearsay.People talk about his skin being bleached w/o even knowing the facts.He was suffering from a skin disease called”Vitiligo” and if he did want to change his skin color I would not blame him the way African Americans have treated him.so I would not be considered in the number of we all,but I am sure there are some who could fit perfectly.And I dont like the fact that they keep saying he’s worth more Dead.Greedy,money hungry people thats all they could think about.For all those who choose to judge him and put all that negative feedback out there about him.remember this:Karma is a B***h and she bites back with a Vengeance!!

My first album was The Jackson 5 and as I sat closed up in my room for days it was my solace. You see I was a victim of child sexual abuse and at the time I wished Michael Jackson could just take me away of a shiny red bike built for 2. In the midst of the molestation charges against him I cringed at the thought but I was also logical. First off, no evidence was found that he molested anyone, all the families involved were financially strapped and people kept sending their kids to his home and then claiming molestation afterwards. I do believe for the most part he was a target. I had to be hospitalized for my victimization and all I got was counseling. An alledged touch earned that one family 20 million dollars and they’ve never complained again since. I also wanted to state that it is very odd to me that a cardiologist would become his primary physician on hand. I have a cardiologist and he’s a specialist; rarely does he see me for anything other than heart problems. Yet this cardiologist was living with him as if he had a heart condition when he recently had a physical and was found in good condition. I believe Michael knew that he was pushing the envelope with all those pain meds and was aware of the consequences and yet he trusted this man to save him if he was ever in any grave danger. Bad decision.
I took only a year and half of Medical Assistant and one of the rules of CPR is that you lay the person on a hard surface, not a bed. Also, he performed this procedure for almost an hour before calling the paramedics. Probably because he fought against it knowing that he would be implicated afterwards. It only takes a person 4 minutes to die from cardiac arrest. He (doc) was clearly incompetent and should be investigated fully. People focus on the negativity in Jackson’s life. He gave back millions to charity and was one of the greatest artist that will ever walk the face of the Earth. I hope those are not Christians judging because Noah was a drunk yet he built the Ark. David was one of the greatest kings and yet he had a man killed to sleep with his wife. And Solomon, well he was the wisest kings to ever live and had hundreds of wives and conc**bines. We must remember that no one is without sin and Jackson (RIP) is someones son, brother, father and best friend. To many others like myself, he was simply amazing. He will be sorely missed.

I don’t get people when someone dies then you want to say how much you love him? He needed to hear it when he was ALIVE and its too late for that now. From the beginning I didn’t think he did anything. Michael dealt with things in his own way. He wanted to share the one thing he was passoniate about and that was music and he loved what he did. He broke barriers and brought people together. All the media and anyone else can focus on is what the last few years of his life was like not all the good he has done. I believe that Michael was a good, sweet, kindhearted person. I remember dancing to his music when I was little girl, playing his music when I was in band. There are good memories attached to his music. Anyways my thoughts and prayers go out to his kids, Katherine and his family. Nobody will be able to do what he did. Rest in peace Michael you deserve it.

I know of the back injury but how many different types of painkillers does one need? (he was on oxycontin, demerol[this is usually given to women during childbirth], and two others that escape me at this time) and why was it administered intraveneously? Tablets weren’t strong enough? He was supposed to go on his LAST tour and after his last trial he virtually became a recluse. One could only imageine how miserable he had to have been His post mortem sales has brought him out of debt and once again the people are feeding off of sensationalism by buying his stuff and jacking up the prices on it (for instance those ugly assed athletic shoes that he had back in the day, with the buckles are being sold for $650). I’ve even heard people talking about he’s not dead. Why can’t people accept that his physical form had to expire sometimes and that sometime people do die in their fifties? Does the words “Rest in Peace” mean anything? Why is it that all of these young artists, most of which aren’t truly talented but hyped up and computer augmented, trying to gain brownie points by citing him as an influence? I swear humans are so pathetic. I’m just glad that he doesn’t have to go through the ridicule anymore (South Park, Scary Movie, other s**te that you probably laughed at)! Okay I’m done.
