CINCINNATI — The Cincinnati Bengals are traveling to Louisiana to say final farewells to late teammate Chris Henry.
A two-hour public viewing Tuesday will be followed immediately by the funeral service for Henry. He died last week from massive head injuries a day after he fell out of the back of a pickup truck in North Carolina. Police say Henry was having a domestic dispute with his fiancee.
The Bengals chartered an early morning flight so coaches, players and front-office employees could attend the services at the Alario Sports Complex outside New Orleans. The 26-year-old Henry was from nearby Belle Chasse (CHAYS), La.
Bengals Head Coach Marvin Lewis and NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell are expected to deliver eulogies.
