OMG!!!! This is really sad and a very pointless death. R.I.P and my prayers are with his family

I wonder what his Fiancee is going to get for this… Probably nothing at all. The lives of black men in this country is meaningless. And they show us on the news everyday. I’ll never forget how Donte Stallworth got probation and a fine for killing a black man on a DUI and Mike Vick got 2 years for murdering dogs. Lets know me where our worth is on the food chain. Gotta love america. I’ll be very curious to see how they handle this situation. Very curious

Ok…this is a horrible story and outcome. The worse part is the argument probably wasn’t that serious and they would be ok after time. But what is worst is a below post asking what the fiancee will get?!?! She did nothing but drive AWAY from him… Did he not jump in the BACK of the pickup on his own? So what would she be charged with? Driving a car? This was an accident and believe me she is suffering enough as it is. We don’t know why she ran off in the first place and we don’t know why she didn’t stop…maybe she was scared. She was obviously trying to get away for a reason, what that reason was we do not know. Nothings going to happen to her whether she did anything wrong or not. In response to another comment, regardless of what led up his falling out of the truck she still had a responsibility in the situation. To either ensure he was ok, or if she was too afraid to do that then at least call for help. Who knows, she probably IS the one who called for help. Regardless of all that, he’s dead now and can’t tell his side of the story, so the only story we will ever get is hers and I PROMISE hers will be a sugar-coated lie. Why? Because he’s dead and she has to reduce her culpability in it. If she did do something wrong (EMPHASIS ON “IF”, because I’m not saying she did), she’ll stand before God one day and answer for it. Plain and simple. I don’t know you Chris Henry, but I hope you made it to that “better place” that everyone talks about. I’m all for a brother living his life right, doing the right things, and being a positive role model for the next generation, and I don’t care who you slept with. This story has been f*cking my head up so I’ve just been reading every article I could find about it, annnnnnd….I found the 911 calls. So far there are two; one from a woman who was behind the truck before he fell off of it, and one from the scene after he fell off. I don’t know if I can post the link but you can hear it on Youtube. The name of the video is “Raw Audio: Chris Henry 911 Call”. It’s on the Associated Press youtube channel. If it mattered to anyone. It mattered to me because I wanted to know who he was found by. All these news stories keep saying “when he was found”, but they don’t say who he was found by. Anyways. Two calls and neither was from the fiancee. Maybe she didn’t have a phone, I’m just saying.

I do not know any of you, and from the way it sounds, it looks as if those on here have never lost a love one. I know sometimes that we get into this thing about what color he is or I want my children to be this color and so on. Yet! this does not suffice the situation.
first as the story is being alleged, that CH fell out of the back of the truck, if that is true and the vehicle was moving at a high rate of speed, then unless he has been trained how to fall from a vehicle like that he possibly hit his head and the pavement, concrete or whatever the condition of the road was that the truck was traversing.
I am suspect because nobody in their right mind would try to be moving in a vehicle without a cab on the back of the truck (you usually sit down and wait for the vehicle (i.e. truck) to stop.
Now the police alleged that they examined the fiancee` for physical and visible wounds and did not find any. We therefore look at the timing of the accident, because once again the Police are speculating this time that he either jumped (which i do not believe) or that he was thrown from the vehicle. I he was thrown, then that would mean that there had to be someone else inside the back of the truck that did this. I believe the latter and I also believe that that person may have gotten out of the vehicle and went in another direction.
I say this because in order for someone to be thrown from the back of a pickup truck the vehicle must be moving at a high rate of speed and then the vehicle either stops or traverses a curve which geometric angle is thirty degrees or better.
So let us wait and see, but I do hope that the Police Department further investigates this.
Please let us move cautiously and another thing, please let us stop talking defamatory about one another, that is really all your enemy likes to see and here, and you can bet right now some of them are laughing that that’s one more that is not getting the big bucks and are congratulating themselves. Do not give the enemy any ground to stand on, let alone room to maneuver.

When I first heard about this early this morning, my first thought was “Thats sad”. My second thought was “I wonder how long it’ll be before they try to make this about race?” And well, here we are. i read most of this story on a new orleans webpage and most of the people that chime in are white. they’re thing was “its good he was turning his life around and is not like most young blacks that sell drugs, rob people, or is looking for handouts from the government. now to read how race is the issue on here shows how preoccupied we are in this world.
i used to get crunk and go offabout these people but since i’ve been reading about god and his laws and how i have to deny myself (my thoughts,angers, make that paper above all else) which is really denying the beast and his methods of distracting us from what is important, all i can think of his how this young brother lost his life and how his kids now have to live w/out a father. the man was simply an entertainer to us like mj. we can beat the hell out of what we see as negative in these people like we never did harm to someone that didnt deserve it, like we never drink, smoke, cheat, lie, look at a fine sexy person from another race. funny how we can do all this bs, and look at someone else and call him a no good mf

I’m sorry for the family’s lost and my prayers are with them in their process of working through their grief. Having a rising star in one’s family is an awesome blessing. There’s no words that can soothe the pains that follow this type of passing.

They haven’t said if he was “hit by a car” yet. The autopsy report will come out eventually. He didn’t have to hit the ground hard to die though. It takes very little trauma to your brain to kill you, it’s a sensitive organ. I haven’t seen how much time elapsed between the calls, thats what I’m wondering now. Now I’m wondering how long he laid on side of the road. *Sigh* What a terrible way to die.

i grew up with chris and played football with him , he was a great friend and a great football player , yea he had his troubles but who dont , chris did things that most people could only dream of. it is easy to pick someone’s life a part that is in the lime light, chris never gave up he tried hard and played hard and was a great friend to alot of people . yall can say what ya’ll want about chris but down here chris is an all star and he will never be forgotten. No matter how much people try and bring chris name down, yall could never walk a day in his shoes or even make it as far as he did.

first it was riri and chris brown which sparked a 3 month domestic violence campaign, and then in June it was the shooting of Steve mcnair by his deranged girlfriend nobody talked about that s**t when it was the woman that shot him!

and then it was tiger woods and his mishap, and now it is this! when are women just gonna realize that they cant be the DICK in the relationship, just shut the f**k up! , be the p***y and bend over while i go in! thats all. and thats the only thing a female should be doing nothing else because this is a MANS WORLD!

@…90alji06….you need therapy….although I can see how you COULD have these feelings, I don’t quite understand how the men in question are not responsible or held accountable for their actions and decisions. No one deserves to be killed…..Steve McNair made his choice and his fate was sown at that time, the same goes for Chris Henry and Tiger Woods.

@ blackplanetreaders…EVERYONE of these so called “superstars” want a trophy on their arms and MOST, not ALL, judge and choose these women by looks alone. MOST, not all, of these women are attractive and sexy but shallow and hollow inside with low self-esteem and psychological issues that can’t be nipped or tucked, enhanced or enlarged. Many of their needs are often left unmet because they put wealth, money, glamor, money, fame, money ,sex and of course money, in place of their well-being, knowing that this is all the superstar has to offer. Unfortunately,for both the man and the woman, she is mentally damaged and he loses his life.

Now I’m not playing the race card with this comment, because I don’t care who dates who, but I can’t appreciate a man who dates within his race when he’s just a regular “JOE” then makes it big and feels the need to “UPGRADE”….I have no respect for that or them….I mean honestly, do you think they ever ask themselves while they are out on the town or at a party..”WOULD THIS WOMAN BE WITH ME IF I WAS BROKE?” The tragedy is, most of these women are groupies looking for a easy, carefree lifestyle and use their bodies(plastic, enhanced and all) to achieve it.

MOST ,not all, of these “superstars” come right of the streets from neighborhoods and environments where interracial dating is frowned upon. Once these so-called “bombshells” get their hands on them they never had a chance.

And its seems to all be set up by the NBA and it’s affiliates because they are the ones who invite these guys to swanky parties, are in control of the guest list and surround them with these women who will do ANYTHING.
Just think, one day you can’t even get a date and the next you got handlers/managers telling you that you can have any or every woman in the room…CCCCCMMMMOOOONNNNN……you’d probably fall for it too.

And last but not least, speaking on the racial issue, as i said before, these women they meet at these parties and etc. have an agenda, i mean they didn’t exactly bump into each other at the grocery store. As far as black women are concerned, we are strong, independent and self-sufficient beings. These guys are not looking for that at their age of recruitment, they are looking for dumb, numb and c**; party til we drop, sleep with you and your sister and your best-friend types. So not to say they deserved what they got, moreover, they got what they deserved by the choices they made.
In this game, there are no winners. Both the superstar and the bombshell are meer pawns in a game being played by those larger than the two combined.
