Yes black athletes have gotten crucified in the media, most recently Tiger Woods. Does that mean that we should say Ben Rothlisberger is guilty despite the evidence?? I do the same for any HUMAN BEING…I don’t believe in saying someone is guilty if they really aren’t. I’ve done it with other athletes..

And in this case…the charge against him sounds suspicious. People will say “Well he’s been called out on it before”…but once you’re ACCUSED of something once…it’s easy to accuse that person of it again for financial gain

The question is not of innocence or guiltiness; it about being a mature individual. If the same thing keeps happening, a mature person would stay away from that environment. I just want to see what the NFL does this time. He played in the super bowl with an pending investigation last time. I would like to turn on the tv and see if “Trey Wingo” lashes out at him like he does countless other athletes that happens to be black on issues that are not as serious as this one. well personally i dont think anyone cares if he’s really guilty or not. we (as black people) are wondering “WHY” the first time he was accused of “rape”, why it was on sports center for 1 minute in the whole hour. now that he’s been accused again, why isnt he on the news again? it’s evident that the media will not and has not displayed ANY major crimes of “WHITE” athletes.

Kobe Bryant, the best NBA player in the league was accused of raping a girl, who they later found 3 different types of semen in her underwear, was on the news for 5-6 months until his court case was thrown out. lost ALL of his sponsors and countless millions of dollars.

the best black quarterback in the NFL (possibly the best overall at the time) Mike Vick, was accused of “fighting dogs” we saw him on the news for about a month most of the day on every channel, tv and radio.

the best golfer in history, Tiger Woods, was on the news for 2 months everywhere in the world because he crashed his car and had “sex” outside of his marrige with other consenting adults.

a “WHITE” NFL quarterback sexually assualts 2 sepeerate women and most of the world doesnt know it. if we hadnt seen it here on BP. we wouldnt even know it. ive been watching sports center for the last hour and still havnt heard anything about ben, but i just heard something about Tiger.
