From MSNBC

NEW YORK – NFL commissioner Roger Goodell isn’t revealing when he’ll decide whether to reinstate Michael Vick now that the former Atlanta Falcons star quarterback has been released from federal custody.

Meanwhile, ESPN.com reported that a meeting could take place Thursday or Friday, which would mean a conditional reinstatement as early as next week.

NFL training camps open for veterans next week. The first day for mandatory roster cuts in Sept. 1, which has opened speculation that any additional suspension or conclusive reinstatement would be decided by that time.

Good s**t. From a football fan that has watched countless games of Vick and many more I would really love to see him back in the game, his prowess on the field has nothing to do with what he did off of it. I am excited that the NFL has even considered bringing him back a possibility

I think that the NFL should reinstate Micheal Vick. Micheal Vick was a good quaterback. He had off the field issues, but he paid his debts to society. I believe that everybody deserves a second chance. Bring back Mike Vick for the 2009 season.

I guess I will be the first to take a different stance on this issue. Our children look up to these sports figures. They desire to emulate what they do both on and off the field. The amount of violence coming out of professional sports is getting out of hand. When ever a player that has been convicted of a violent crime is allowed back on the field it sends a message that his behavior is not only ok, but that this type of behavior is acceptable. I feel people in his position owe it to their fans and to the community to show more respect for life and the community that pays their salary. Until he shows some kind of remorse, I think it is too early. I do believe a man deserves a second chance, but he needs to show he deserves it first.
I know this will make a lot of you angry, but it has to be said and it is how I feel. Convince me he understands what he did was wrong and why. Not because it is illegal, but because as a human being it is wrong.

They should let Michael Vick play why not he has done his time. I’ve seen people muroder human beings and get less time. We need that sexy piece of chocolate back on the field. I have not watch ATL play since he left. He was the only reason I watched them play anyway. He was a good quarterback and his salary spoke for that!
