I am hurt that people can look down on people who are different so easily. I do not feel they should take her medal that she won out right. This is the kind of stupidity that I can not stand about people in higher power. Its not her fault that she a hermaphrodite, and they should not judge her on that. She is a woman, she lives her life as one, so I do not see why the rest matters.

It matters because she ran against normal women… How is it fair to those women she/he ran against? They train to win… not get cheated. Her/his testosterone is 3X’s higher, that would be like her/him using steroids as an advantage… She/he should be stripped of her/him medals for the sake of fair competition.

Just because she has an unusual health condition, she’s still a person with feelings. How dreadful to have such a personal issue put on display for the world to judge! I couldn’t imagine what she’s feeling right now…

I don’t think it’s fair to strip her of her medals. Is there any proof that she knew of her condition before this whole ordeal? If not, you can’t say she knowingly had an unfair advantage. You can’t blame someone for the way they were born. She lived her whole life believing she was a woman. Someone you know might have the same condition, so think about that….

I don’t know / care about her medal. I just hate that they put her personal business out that way. Isn’t this a medical thing, aren’t your medical records private? She’s only 18 years old for goodness sakes! Shes a child. I thinks its pitiful and shameful that they would do her like this. I also want to say I’d find it odd if she didn’t know already. The question came from somewhere! I’ve read that she lives in a small village so who knows if she’s ever seen a doctor, but if she has no female sexual organs doesn’t that mean shes never had a menstrual cycle? She’s been racing for a year at least which means shes had at least one physical. She had to have known SOMETHING was wrong. I would like for the rest of the track and field world to speak out against this. I would also like for her to continue racing in the mean time. She’s done exactly what they wanted her to do and thats to stop racing. Why would the story leak at this very moment? The IAAF didn’t put the story out (supposedly). It came from somewhere else, and just 2 days before a major race? Not a coincidence. Someone needs to answer for all of this.

This situation will not have a happy ending either way. Take away the issue of her being black and just look at the rules that qualify female runners to be eligible to run. The facts are she posses body parts and testosetrone that are against the rules. With that being said it is not a personal opinion or feelings about the situation.
If it is against the rules disqualify her and move on.
