Michael Vick served his time in jail, paid fines and lost millions – albeit, as a result of his own childish behavior. The man has paid his debt to society, and for that, those radicals at PETA should allow him the opportunity to earn a living.

If u have a problem with Vick then U should have the same problem with the former Vice President, how is it that u can torture humans but dogs get more attention, which is more important, animals or humans, if u stand up and talk smack about dog fighting, then stand up for your country and talk about torture.

The problem with slavery was that one person doesn’t have the right to own another. Black people can not not be classified as property or cattle. Black people were kidnapped from their homeland, forced to work and breed for no salary, raped, beating, robbed, forcefully kept uneducated and told we should be happy about it. We are still feeling the impact of slavery today. Dog fighting sounds a lot more human to me. I would rather fight for my food then be a slave! Now unless you are saying animals should have the same rights we do, that we don’t have the right to own animals, put them to work, take them into our homes or eat them you cannot compare dog fights to slavery! Dogs are animals that we have chosen to domesticate. In some countries they are food. So if you still feel slavery is comparable to dog fighting I suggest you find a nice plantation, grew some cotton, pick it from sun up to sun down, and when your fingers are bleeding at the end of the day from the thorns and seeds from the cotton plant and your back hurts so bad you can hardly walk or stand, go to a one room shack to eat the parts of the animal your master didn’t want, and wait for someone to come beat you and oppress and humiliate you and in every way possible so that so you can understand a small part of the life of a slave!

I really don’t see how people can be so upset about dog fights when millions of people eat animals everyday. The only reason it’s illegal is because mostly poor minorities participate in things like dog fighting and chicken fighting. It’s perfectly legal for people to go out in the woods and shoot creatures that haven’t done anything to them. Why is a dog more important than a moose or a dear. Does anybody really think horses enjoy being ridden? This whole issue is BS. dog fighting should be legalized.

First off I was making the point that just because something is your property does not make it right to treat a living thing with total disregard. You seem like the ignorant ones. The post said “people should be able to do what they feel with their peoperty” Which is the exact same argument slave owners used when fighting against freeing slaves. If people believed in the logic that property should be treated however the owner feels it should be treated, then I would still be a slave.
