As a responsible adult I have been getting Mammograms since the age of 27 trying to take the proper precautions before it is too late. I do not think that those involved with making these changes have had to endure seeing a loved-one suffer from this particular disease which happens to hit the African American community much harder that any other. I see this attempt as another way for society to pull African American women down crushing yet another hope that we may have to find a cure that is very much needed. I am a 33 year old African American woman with a family history of Breast Cancer.
