How ironic when about 15 years ago they actually USED rap to market their restaurant. Remember that commercial they had back in the day that rapped the whole menu? Hell, they used to give away a CD of the whole song with a value meal purchase. Even their commercials are aimed at the “urban” environment but when its returned, its “a problem.”

Don’t get me wrong, they teens should have known better, but I think it’s hypocritical of McDonald’s to utilize rap and what not to market their product but then call the police on some teens who use it in their restaurant.

If I remember correctly back in the day McDonalds had a commercial where dude rapped his order out to the cashier. i work for a mcdonalds in windsor, ontario canada. and we have had people come through drive thru and rap thier order. they are just having fun and most of the time there is no one in line. i think it is crazy that those teens were arrested. was that manager having a bad night he had to make an example out of those teens….. i congrats those teens. keep doing what they want it is not hurting anyone…..

I think that they were just some teens having fun. They probably seen the old rap that the McDonalds use to have and decided they would try it. I do not see it as really an issue dealing with race. After all the youngmen were white. Rather there was a long line or not, there is just a time and place for everything. Obviously according to management they had the wrong time and place to pull their stunt. They were not arrested which I feel wouldve been going a bit overbaord. I would just say they were made a prime example out of. The next teens whie,black,hispanic, or whatever will know not to do that at a place of business.
