I don’t think the crime here is pretending to be something he isn’t (if that was a crime, 3/4 of the people on the internet would either be in court or in jail already), but sending those threats is what got him in trouble. I’m guessing his threats were somewhat mild, since the punishment doesn’t seem that excessive. Then again, I would love to hear his side of it though…

I wish NewsONe would do some real reporting sometimes, and get the opposing story, and stop merely reprinting AP articles. Just reach out to the brother and give him an opportunity to tell his side. That would give these stories more substance.
