1) I’m sorry that this kid had to lose his life to some worthless piece of s**t, and I hope that said POS gets locked up under the prison for the rest of his miserable life.

2) I read about this story on another site, and NewsOne is leaving out a lot of details, like that the killer had a criminal record, and the kid was left alone with this guy while they were asleep, among other things. I wanna know what the parents were thinking to let this guy get within a mile of their child.

Whatever the cause is, I can almost guarantee you that a video game wasn’t the catalyst for the murder, but I guess the words ‘video game” help give the story more pop.

I read these News 1 blogs all the time. People jump on commenting about things that happens in singers,actors,rappers,ect… lives,but no 1 commented on this. Not even a “so sad” as I usually see when they talk about non-sence such as who Lil weezy banging. I dont usually comment on blogs, but this hurts, to see a child so young lose his life over sum pure BS. My heart goes out to his family.

This is a very sad and tragic story and as a single parent it really hits close to home. My teenage son who has a slight mental disability plays video games with a 9 yr old friend that comes over and I could never imagine in a million years anything like that happening in my dwelling. It just goes to show that there are some sick people in this world.

Last year in my town a female’s boyfriend killed her child while she watched. Prompt the question what kind of mother even if she is fearing for her life would sit back and watch a man kill her child? Another guy in 2007 raped and murdered a 2 years old girl. That hurt the whole town everyone wanted to get him but in prion his first day there he got a broom stick stuck in his butt, oh well. i hate when people neglect and hurt children. i love kids but you know what that what kind of world we live in.

I bet he got stabbed (in the PROJECTS, LAND OF NO HOME TRAINING) not bcuz of the game but becuz of DRUGS… I hope they kill this man asap – legitimately or illegitmately- crush his skull w/a heavy object but very slowly. f**k him

I don’t know where this story came from but I live in NY and saw it on the news this morning! I thought an adult relative or man residing in the apt who was mentally disturbed stabbed and killed the little boy! They said that it was not over a video game.Apparently person watching child or other family member left apt to go to store and stabbing occured during that time! Whyt would you leave a child that your supposed to be watching alone with a relative that you know is mentally disturbed?

This is sad and beyond a tragedy. How can a 25 year old seriously stab a child. This man deserves to be dealt with. Video games do develop agression, and anger and it is a shame that this happened. TO me the uncle needs to be held responsible as well, if he was watching the child instead of leaving the child with some stupid idiot, that is dumb and heartless enough to hurt a child. This breaks my heart, and prayers go out to the little boys family. What a horrible way to start the new year.

you must wake up as well. one the reports never said what type of game he was playing. I refuse to believe that tetris would make anyone angry. Furthermore, if you messed up enough to kill a little kid over a game, you would kill the kid over anything. Alot of these video games create alot of aggression in kids. Kids up at 330a playing games. People not monitoring what they do. Not saying the uncle could have prevented it but we really have to get back to setting rules with kids. No you can’t stay up all times of the night doing whatever.

You took this child from this world, family and friends because of a video game… really. I’ll except most comments , but the kids playing violent video games turns them into violent adults is bull-****.A video game is no different than any other form of entertainment.Parents can read the label and decide what to buy , now they they even have v-chip technology where a parent can set what types of of games can be played and for how long.
