ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME? Not only would he not have gotten the chance to hit my child the first time, but he would have had a gash in his head from everything within reach at the counter we were at. Kids CRY. It is a natural emotional response. If you ignore a child when they are crying for nothing, that teaches them that that is an inappropriate response. If you react everytime they cry that teaches them that they will get a reaction if they cry. My child cried at times in wal-mart between the ages of 1-2. I acted as if I didn’t know him, and continued to push the basket through the store. It only happened a few times, before he began to deal with my No. But if anyone thinks it is ok for a grown man to hit a child not once but multiple times, that they don’t know, then you need to be locked up next to that crazy old man. Now if the child’s mom had hit the child in the store, the child would be in state custody and the mother would be in jail for a lot longer than 6 months. GIVE ME A BREAK! I wish a n****a WOULD!

I don’t condone what he did, I would have knocked his ass out (my child wouldn’t have been actin out in public); but I gotta give it to him, he did what many of us have only thought about doing to some badass child cryin in a store. But the way I grew up all my mom or grandma had to do was give me a look and I stopped whatever the hell I was doing. I understand that he was wrong for what he did (in a way), but I was raised southern-style. If you effed up at school, you got it from the teacher, moms, and pops whenever he got in from work. I hated life for it at the time, but I’m glad I got it. Lord knows how many times I wanted to yoke up some bad a$$ munchkin running rampant in Wal-Mart. I never thought I’d see the day when someone actually DID it. I have no children of my own (yet), but I’ve helped raise my nieces and nephews. I would’ve gone straight donkey kong apesh*t in the store had anyone laid a finger on any one of them. It would never happen because 1.they know better and 2) I’ll tear their little asses up when we got home. Lol. The belt works. People need to start using them again.

If I remember the original story correctly, the man who slapped this beautiful black child was white. This incident happened in the south. I venture to say that this Cracker’s reaction to a crying white “cracker crumb” would not have been the same. Given his age, he reminisced back to the days of Jim Crow, when a Cracker could crack a whip on a black man’s back without any penalties or consequences. In my opinion, this was not a case of “a village raising a child”, but rather, an Ol’ Southern Cracker who was stuck in a time period when it was okay to do whatever he deemed necessary to put a N—-r in his or her place.

I am, however, happy that this woman was able to compose herself and not react to his ignorance with violence. If she had responded, she would have been the one doing jail time. If people were properly DISCIPLINING their children at home, they wouldn’t have these issues out in public. I remember when my little sister was 2. Moms wasn’t having it. She thought she would act a fool once time while out and moms snatched her up right then and there and wore her ass out! NEVER had a problem again.

So I don’t wanna hear all this s**t about “kids cry…thats what they do” and “if you ignore them, they’ll stop.” For those of you unfamiliar with psychology, there’s a positive AND a negative reinforcement. TWO different means of getting someone to do what you WANT them to do. Giving them candy to stop crying is positive reinforcement. Whooping that ass is negative. Either way, that child stops crying. So don’t act like just because YOU don’t wanna put hands on your kid that means that its okay to disturb others around you. Why SHOULD he had had to go to another Wal-Mart because HER kid wouldn’t stop crying? How come SHE couldn’t leave or go to another one?

We too often want to say “poor victim” when they put THEMSELVES in s**tty positions. If I jump over a fence that says “KEEP OUT” and get mangled by a dog, WHY will everybody gravitate to ME and say “oh, poor guy. That dog needs to be put down!” Thats stupid to me. Sometimes people need to AVOID putting themselves in those kinds of situations. If you KNOW your kid is crybaby, find a babysitter.

I live in Los Angeles with all these Spanish people and their kids are anoying as hell.I would never ever think of putting my hands on anyones kids to shut them up.Thats not my place.What you do is make sure you dont have to be in places where alot of any of this is going on.Out here it’s damn near everywhere if your lower income!Walmart,K-mart,laundrymat,99cent stores..etc.

I work from home right now so i try to pick the best hours to go to the store so i wont be annoyed that much, because not only are kids annoying the parents arents any better with training them how to behave in public!
