I am so just….sad. I mean i know drug addicts obviously have issues thinking logically. If you don’t want these kids seems like you’d drop them off with a relative or a church, anything but give them to a stranger. My heart goes out to the father who raised her and only wanted to give the biological mother an opportunity to raise her and be in her life after she told him she had a job and shelter. My heart aches for him and his family.

OMG!!!!! This story made me cry..I will never ever understand how anyone can hurt a child or put them in danger, let alone a mother! I would give this b*tch the electric chair! I feel soo sorry for the father! you have my best wishes. She was beautiful. This story breaks my heart. I hate hearing about violence and abuse toward children. Not only am I a mother to a beautiful 5 yr old as well, but I am also a mother who still mourns the death of my oldest daughter. Though her death was natural, I would give anything to have her back here with me. It literally ‘pisses me off’ when I here how people with beautiful little gifts from God mistreat them. May God bless her father and family since they are left now to suffer from this tragedy.

My heart is so heavy. I have a wonderful 3 year old boy, and no matter how hard times get, I could never do anything to put him in harms way. I had just passed by the road, where she was found, when I heard the news. I am so heart brokened and filled with rage because of the sick people who put this child in harms way and did harm to her. She was such a beautiful girl who didn’t ask for the cruel things to be done to her. Her mom and the McNeil guy both should be tortured,he should be castrated, and both should be put on trial aiming for the death penalty. And how the police told the mom that her child was found dead and she showed no remorse. How sick?!!! I pray that her soul is at peace; I also pray that her family could get through this most difficult time. To the mom and the kidnapper, the Lord says “Vengence is His!!!”

I want to say I don’t believe this, but as time moves on I see things like this more and more. I just don’t understand how someone can sell their child. Than again I study in the mental health profession and I know some people obviously are incapable of making proper decisions. To see that father cry like that broke my heart. The one positive thing I see out of this is finally seeing a Black child get some sort of media coverage. Although, the little girl has passed I hope the media takes this as an opportunity to help others. I ask that people don’t take my comment as a racial thing, I just know there are thousands of Black children missing in this country. They never get the air time they deserve.

I was so hurt to find out that this little girl was killed. I wish to God the father would have kept the little girl instead of giving her back to her mother who was known for having issues. The father had the little girl for a few years, and felt it was time to gradually integrate her back into the life of the mother. The mother still has issues as we can see from this. It’s like no one really wanted the little girl. After the child went missing the father pleaded with them to bring the little girl back to him, but it was too late. This is so sad. God help this sick world we live in.

Have mercy on us for failing our children and not valuing them as the gifts that they are. I pray for all the other children that are subjected to this same heinous act. Shaniya is just a representative of many. Break our hearts with the things that break your heart and not continue on as though Christ is not returning. Give us our conviction back and let us be repentant for things we know are wrong and those that we are not aware that are offensive to you.

OK…lets say 46 years and 5 months from now, some little 9 year old girl in India is riding her bike to school on a Tuesday, in April, at 7:23 am, when a cat runs in her path, she swerves, falls off the curb, gets hit by a bus, fractures 17 bones, punctures her left lung, has internal bleeding, and she dies from a blood clot in her brain in the hospital 9 days later…..

Then she would have died EXACTLY how “god” planned it RIGHT??? Down to every detail right???

When I first seen this story on CNN last week, i did not fathom the little girl not being found alive. I could not even finish reading the article because my tears were blurring my vision. I can not believe that little girl was being put up for prostitution and then murdered at the tender age of 5. I am so saddened by this. I know GOD told us to be fruitful and multiply but I’m sure he meant to do so in a world where there is love and compassion for one another, especially for a pure soul like Shaniya. I will definitely reconsider bringing a child into this world, not only do you have to worry about strangers around your child but also the child’s own family. GOD rest Shaniya’s soul and cleanse the people who let satan use them as a puppet.

I am from Fayetteville, not far from where they had the funeral for Shaniya. It has been sad here every since they found this little girl in Sanford. I have read a lot comments all bashing the father of Shaniya, when all this man was doing was letting her be a mother to her. We can’t see into someone’s mind and know what they are thinking and it is sad that this angel is gone. The mother was only suppose to have her for the weekend. The grandmother packed enough clothes for her for 2 days because she had school that Monday. That grandmother(the father’s mother)called and the mother told her she will never see Shaniya again and then Tuesday comes and she’s missing. This mother is sick and should feel the same fate as that jackass who did it. To the family of mother who says “my daughter will never harm her kids”, you aren’t around your daughter 24/7 to know what she is doing all the time. this little girl had burns on her from her mother’s friends, Only one person on her mother’s side had sense when she said, “If she was doing this all the time, she hid it real well.” This is sad, so very sad…Rest in peace Shaniya because now you are home honey and no more harm can come to you.
