Lets be real here, this has been going on in OUR community for the past 60-100 years. Its only now we are seeing it right in our living rooms and computer screens. Our people need a proper knowledge of self. Brother Ashanti, no it wasn’t a white man, but it is his system that has facilitated this violent behavior that is so prevalent in our community. That is no excuse because I agree with BabyRaga “We have to save ourselves” but it is THE cause, no ifs, ands or buts. Perhaps seeing it this way will serve as the catalyst for action!

It’s the last days man….Stuff like this doesn’t surprise me. When I hear of men driving down the highway and throwing their babies out the window, people killing one another, women taking their kid to shoot ranges and in turn shooting their kid, one world gov’t, economy, and religion in the making and all the stuff that is going on in the world today, it let’s me know that this is the beginning of the end and it makes me take my walk with Jesus that much more serious. That’s for me. I see it as it is. I don’t know about other people but that is what I see.

This is OUR fault! We let our communities get like this by “ignoring” everything that happens unless it involves us directly.

I remember growing up as a kid in the early 80′s and everybody knew everybody. If I did some silly s**t down the street, I got my ass snatched up right then and there by whatever parent was around, took an L there, and THEN they called my moms and I took another L when I got home. The whole neighborhood helped raised the kids. Nowadays, most people don’t even know the muthaphucka living right next door to them. Nobody says s**t about the crime even if they see it because they don’t wanna be labled a “snitch.” If Its not our house being broken into, we won’t say s**t when see somebody in all black crawling through somebody’s window. We don’t check these punk ass kids when they mouth off. So this is OUR fault. We let our communities go and now we’re scared of the environment that we created.

Everybody gets on here and talks about how sad it is when s**t like this happens. But I ask you, what are YOU doing to change it? Preaching on here doesn’t help whats going on “off” line. I’m a Marine with a VERY limited schedule right now due to training for this deployment to Afghanistan, yet I STILL try to squeeze in as much time as I can by volunteering at various spots, talking to these young cats I see presenting a foul image. I check these teens when they call themselves “nutting up” on the elders. I take the time to listen to them and try to use myself as an example of “making it out the hood and getting my s**t together.”

We ALL have to play our part. You shouldn’t have to wait until the issue is at your doorstep to get involved.

Should start snatching holes on 1 or the 3 Mommy’s A**’s who is making pure, straight up watered down punk’s out of their, Grand-Son’s, Son’s all the way to Baby’s Daddy’s in some cases I’ve seen HUSBAND’S! I’ve seen 1 of the 3 Mommy’s straight up checking the child’s grand-fathers, fathers like she’s wearing the Mother***en Paints! I have a grand-mother, a mother, multiple aunts & sisters who KNOW BETTER than to get in my face and the one’s who has melted the males down within their household’s/family’s knows to MISS ME FLAT OUT! THEIR BOY’S OF ALL CATEGORIES? They Know to Miss me as well! For the one’s who get’s tired of Jail/Prison and/or being pure trifling, who tries to change, I do help them, find out if their records can be exspunged, etc., Yeah, I lead them to the water BUT they got to Drink It! IF any of the 3 Mommy’s start to rear their horrible head’s & the dude loses his INDIVIDUAL focus, I step off & further watch life whip that A** somemore. When the 3 mommy’s get tired of, “getting evicted, turned down for most services, excepting collect call’s from jail/prison for decades on end plus having to take care of 3 generation’s of males, their off-spring, etc., they THE MOMMY’S will either get too old, too tired or in between the two, then?
