Obama: “We Need Courage” To Pass Health Care Reform

STRONGSVILLE, Ohio — President Barack Obama is delivering a new appeal to Congress on health care — “we need courage.”

Addressing a crowd in Ohio on Monday, Obama was briefly interrupted by a woman who shouted, “We need courage.” He quickly adopted the line and repeated it.

Obama had used his speech to try to reassure seniors that his health care plan will make Medicare stronger.

Obama and congressional Democratic leaders are scrambling to secure the support for his top domestic initiative, with votes possible later this week. They are trying to persuade nervous Democrats to back the legislation. Obama’s Ohio appearance was his third campaign-style event in a week.

    It will take courage for this!

    1. $500,000,000 in Medicare cuts will reduce patient choices and cost taxpayer lives.

    2. Expansion of government will raise health care costs and eliminate the innovation a free market approach over bureaucratic incompetence.

    3. $500 billion in increased taxes will destroy jobs, raise health care costs, and force taxpayers to buy the health care government thinks is best – not taxpayers.

    4. The corrupt backroom deals and political process violates Obamas campaign promises of a new approach and open government process.

    5. Government financed abortion kills a higher percentage of minority children and leads to a lack of respect for the individual and life in general.

    @SexyMoneyMaker democracy is at work. The only way he could really pass this w/o votes from the senate, etc. is by an executive order. But I doubt this sh!t gonna pass now.
