What this shows is, social engineering can work even at the highest of levels. Ask yourself one thing. With a Black President and first lady, a Black AG, and numerous Black’s in his Cabinet and administration, do you think a Black couple could have pulled that off? No way! Just like walking into your local Macy’s or Bloomingdales, Blacks will always arouse the suspicion of the staff, while others can seemingly walk in and out of the store and do or take what they please. This case speaks to the ingrained perceptions we have in our society with respect to Black and White and the election of a Black President has done ZERO to change that, therefore, society remains as racist as it ever was.

It just goes to show that NO amount of security is full-proof…it simply takes patience, time, and the ability to exploit a weakness. It also shows the lengths that Americans will go to to seek fame via television exposure. What is the deal with peoples’ need to be “famous?” Being attention-starved is NOT something to be proud of. The problem with wanting to be “seen” is that people who you don’t want to see you also see you too.

Obviously this was a major security blunder by the Secret Service, but this just proves that no matter how highly trained they are, they are human too. Or maybe with our country having it’s first black president, maybe are getting a little laxed or careless. It’s almost like they want something to happen to him. With all that said, blunder or not, personally I don’t think it’s that big of a deal. It just proves that some people will do anything to get their 15 minutes of fame in this “reality show” driven world. Also, let’s not forget that the couple was a middle age white couple that in the eyes of the people protecting the president didn’t pose a threat. Now if it had been a minority couple they would’ve been turned away.

This is a great ploy to make America see how accessible President Obama is.
So, when he gets assassinated it won’t be such a great surprise, no outrage. . Suppose those two had been assassins? They both got close enough to Obama and Biden to stab or shoot them. If Obama and Biden are killed. . . .Nancy Pelosi becomes our President(*shudders*)
