Woods Denies Crash Rumors, Cancels Meeting With Cops For Third Time
WINDERMERE, Florida — Tiger Woods canceled another meeting with state troopers on Sunday, the third straight time he’s done so. He posted a statement on his Web site that said the accident was his fault, but failed to address the lingering questions about the crash that sent him to a hospital.
The statement was posted about an hour before state troopers were to meet with the world’s No. 1 golfer at his home inside the gates of Isleworth. A meeting was not rescheduled.

In a tape of the call to emergency services released Sunday, two days after the accident, a neighbor told dispatchers that a black Cadillac Escalade hit a tree and “I have someone down in front of my house.”
Woods’ neighbor never mentions the golfer by name, and the call is inaudible at several points because of the bad connection.
“I came out here just to see what was going on,” the neighbor, who was not identified, told dispatchers. “I see him, and he’s laying down.”
One woman is heard in the background yelling, “What happened?”
In a statement posted on his Web site, Woods took responsibility for the accident.
“This situation is my fault, and it’s obviously embarrassing to my family and me,” Woods said. “I’m human and I’m not perfect. I will certainly make sure this doesn’t happen again.”

Woods said it was a private matter, and he wanted to keep it that way.
“Although I understand there is curiosity, the many false, unfounded and malicious rumors that are currently circulating about my family and me are irresponsible,” he said.
Windermere police chief Daniel Saylor has said Woods’ wife, Elin, used a golf club to smash out a rear window to help him get out of the SUV when she heard the crash from inside their home at 2:25 a.m. Friday.
“The only person responsible for the accident is me,” Woods said. “My wife, Elin, acted courageously when she saw I was hurt and in trouble. She was the first person to help me. Any other assertion is absolutely false.”

Sgt. Kim Montes of the Florida Highway Patrol said Woods’ attorney, Mark Nejame, informed the patrol that Woods would not be meeting with troopers Sunday afternoon.
“It has not been rescheduled,” Montes said.

Curious . . . . . , why did this case close so quickly – is it because Tigers wife is white and he’s black – how can this be – is this truly justice or is it “just us”
Regarding Tiger and his wife relationship – there’s two sides to every story – there are no excuses for cheating – however we as woman can be some mouthy creatures – regarding the car accident and his wife attempting assault with a deadly weapon – hopefully the insurance company will determine how or why all the surrounding windows needed to be knocked out – his wife committed domestic violence – why were the gulf clubs not seized to confirm her finger prints – to confirm that busing out surrounding windows was excessive and unnecessary – perhaps Tiger would not have crashed his vehicle if it were not for his wife being “Mad As He__” – His wife behavior in my opinion is what caused the accident – you have a man who made bad choice attempting to leave to avoid any domestic charges – it is not o.k. for his wife to think she is above the law – where are her charges

Y’know what? It’s no body’s business except that of Tiger and his family. Not even the polic can compel him to talk without evidence of a crime. The media is building its own little case for saying he has to explain matters to them of he’s hiding something and all the rumors get started. The average person on the street only wants to know because he’s famous. They’re all just damn nosy. People would be angry as hell if the press were after them the same way, so back off, let the man have his privacy. I don’y care if it’s Tom Joiner or Tom Brokaw asking the questions, the description of the accident as weird, bizarre, strange, unexplained (like he’s a UFO) are very inappropriate. If something criminal turns up down the road, fine. Then its a matter of public record and anyone can see it. It still won’t entitle anyone to answers he doesn’t feel like giving. Time to find some else to hit on. Where’s Paris Hilton when you need her?
Well time will tell on this story..lol… funny..Seems to me the so call little arguement..was a BIG one cause he was getting ABUSE by his own wife to the point she chased (or like they want to say follow him.lol)…..him outside into his truck with a golf club and begin beating the truck because she can’t get to him..SO he runs into a tree and a fire hydrent…this is so crazy….

i am a very big tiger fan,,i have been golfing my whole life..however i believe that it’s none of anybody’s goddamn business except his and his wife…just because he’s rich and famous does that exclude him from having some problems at home,of course not,anyone who is married or in a relationship knows that…relationships are difficult,even moreso for a guy like him…if the media would but out,he would be able to resolve the problems and resume his lfe as a golfer for which we have come to respect and admire him for…his personal life is his business,and he should be able to live it as he pleases….
Must be nice being able to tell the police I’m busy with The President. I will get back to you. Maybe. His wife better chill. She’d not dealing with Tiger the bus driver.

Way to go Tiger. If not compelled to tell the police, TMZ, the public, etc. what happened in my home at 3 o’clock in the morning, I wouldn’t. Whatever is was happened between a husband and wife. Speculate all you want, but one word leads to another, leads to prying, leads to refuting, leads to charges of misleading or lying to investigators, etc… Martha Stewart went to jail, not for trading on insider information, but because of what she said during an investigation.
New Flash: Tiger is sports phenom, but he’s also a man. Men and women have spats, women punch windows out, etc… The public doesn’t own him or his family. We’re not entitled to know. It’s none of our business.

Sorry, that “squeaky clean” image is gone! His wife did what other women have done when they’ve confirmed an affair -she picked up something and stopped the getaway!! I figured this out when the report stated she used a golf club to smash the window to “free him”. Yeah Right!
