Police Say 4-Year-Old Fatally Shot 3-Year-Old In Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS — Indianapolis police say a 4-year-old boy fired the shot that killed his 3-year-old playmate.

Lt. Jeff Duhamell says the boy picked up a loaded .45-caliber handgun that had been left on a kitchen table in Fiona C. Lee’s house Thursday and pointed it at the girl’s head before firing.

Lee’s daughter, Aunesti Lee Allen, died that day at Riley Hospital for Children.

Duhamell said Friday that the boy is the son of Lee’s boyfriend.

Police say they found cocaine and marijuana in Lee’s home and arrested the 26-year-old woman on child neglect and drug charges. She was being held Friday in the Marion County Jail.

Duhamell said Lee’s two other children witnessed the shooting. They are being cared for by a relative.

    Why the HELL is a gun laying around PERIOD! And you have small children in the house. He was probably mimicking a video game or one of these movies. This is sad. This woman HAD to be high on SOMETHING to forget to put the gun AWAY! A child lost her life over pure ignorance and neglect. This couldve been avoided.

    This site put another post on here about indianapolis and killings. I live in indianapolis and like i put on that last post its babies getting killed everyday here. It’s so sad i dont even watch the news cuz our city is getting careless. Like two days before this incident with this little girl, there was another lil girl (3) that got choked on a hot dog and died when she was being watched by a babysitter so police looking at the woman like why didnt u stop the girl from choking. Its crazy

    People should learn from past mistakes to kept guns out he reach of childrens. How many kids has to die?

    In a situation like this you have a pray for the parent. Think about the emotional stress this mother will have to deal with knowing her indirect actions has caused the killing of her own daughter. Some people are so careless now and think its cute to have drug dealers and killers running in and out of their houses. This is a sad case scenario and bless that child.

    Damn shame!!! A lot of times I just wish this world would end so sh*t like this would stop! I’m tired of seeing children and innocent people being victimized and/or killed!!! This couldn’t have been God’s plan when in the beginning he said, “Let there be light…!” This 4 yrs old baby is going to remember this and this is something that will affect him for the rest of his life! Sad!!!

    PLz keep weapons AWAY from kids !!!. WTF is wrong with people these days I am hearing 2 many stories of lil’kids raching over to open handguns and weapons and killing themselves or others nearby. These “parents” need to be locked up for neglect it is a form of child abuse!!
