ACORN Sues Maker Of “Pimp” Video

BALTIMORE — Community activist group ACORN is suing the makers of a hidden-camera video that showed employees of its Baltimore office giving tax advice to a man posing as a pimp and a woman posing as a prostitute.

The liberal group contends that the audio portion of the video was obtained illegally because Maryland requires two-party consent to create sound recordings.

The two employees seen in the video were fired after it was posted online. The lawsuit says the employees, Tonja Thompson and Shera Williams, suffered “extreme emotional distress.”

The multimillion-dollar lawsuit seeks damages from James O’Keefe and Hannah Giles, who played the pimp and prostitute in the videos, and from conservative columnist Andrew Breitbart, who posted the videos on his Web site.

    @Sub, I think the “playing along with them” claim was made by the person in the second tape..It turns out she was, since she claimed she had killed her ex husband, but dude is very much alive. I’m only with ACORN on this because they are being targeted for their willingness to helping poor people. I don’t know much about ACORN but one thing I know, there are plenty of organizations out there straight up stealing billions from tax payers!

    were any papers filed for any of this.that right there should prove it all.all of there federal funding was pulled because of a video that may have been doctored. when bush was caught lying nothing was said from the gop. but when it is something that helps poor people oh no hell no all hell breaks loose.acorn gets some federal funding to help the poor who would this hurt, the poor.when acorn was getting people regisitered to vote it was a problem because they knew who they were going to vote for. that is the problem.
