what does a noose “stand for” can someone explain that to me? if i received a fax with a picture of a noose, i would just laugh, lol.

I guess if you want to get technical, a noose is ‘just’ some rope tied together a certain way…and a cross is ‘just’ two sticks put together, or the American flag is ‘just’ some stars and stripes on some fabric.

even though im conservative in no way do I agree with this. Wow, what if someone took that fax of the noose, drew a picture of a white person with their neck in it and sent it back to the person who faxed it? Oh, that would REALLY make ‘em made then, huh? Or what about taking the spit thrown on the congressman’s back, run over to the folks that did it and rub it all on their faces, it belongs to them anyway, they should have it back :-)).

Though I completely understand the racist implications of symbols like the noose, I refuse to let them invict fear into my heart. We as a people have to learn to move past allowing white folk to intimidate us with these symbols. If I ever see a noose come near me, I’m lighting a match and burning it and throwing it back! TAKE THAT!!!
