Reverend Jesse Jackson watched from backstage a massive and enthusiastic crowd shout “OBAMA, OBAMA, OBAMA!” If humans could sprout bubble captions, his most likely read: “Young punks! So naive, with all their ‘colorblind’ bulls@*t….should’ve been me.” While most political analysts would say Obama learned from the failed attempts of former black presidential candidates by appealing to, not only the black community, the masses, Jackson shamed him for his political smarts.

Most people remember the inappropriately shocking crude remarks that were made about Obama when Reverend Jackson thought he was having a private conversation off air during a TV appearance on Fox News. Jackson should have known that Fox is not the network to make statements about what he’d like to do with Obama’s man parts, and officially confirm his hypocrisy. “Talking down to black people, telling n—as how to behave. I want to cut his nuts off,” is what came from the mouth of the prolific civil rights leader who once launched a campaign to ban the use of the “n word.” Right wing media had a field day with this candid footage because it ultimately displayed a lack of unity in within black leadership. Thank you Jesse Jackson.

Perhaps the more disheartening part, is Reverend Jackson is one of many popular black figures and political underachievers who hated on Obama. Even after 100 days in office, the naysayers offer up critiques adn the reluctance to support the president is painfully obvious.

Black leaders didn’t criticize Bush this much… I think it’s a p***y a$$ move to keep trying to jump down his throat voice your concerns and go through the proper channels…

BETTER THAN THAT, ACT LIKE A DAMN LEADER IF YOUR SUPPOSE TO BE LEADING YOUR COMMUNITY AND STOP WAITING FOR OBAMA TO DO EVERYTHING.

    NO PROPS FOR P***Y MOVES!

First and foremost Alan Keyes is not a black leader and neither is Tavis Smiley. They have not paid any dues to be annoited with that grand title. Tavis Smiley is truly an example of a person who felt snubbed because candidate Obama did not accept the offer to appear at Tavis Smiley’s self serving venue and is seaking “payback” as a child.

If candiate Obama had appeared at Smiley’s forum he would be fully supporting Obama. The best way to describe Tavis is the proverbial crab who would pull another down.

As for Rev. Jesse Jackson he was wrong but the good thing about it is his son has already chastised him publicly for his antics.

It’s all about checks and balances. It’s Ok to criticize Obama as long as it’s based on real issues and not fluff. But I have to agree sometimes the Brotha does come of a little INTIMIDATED when a reporter ask him something specific to the plight of Blacks.
I Love Obama But Sometimes When A situation like that occurs, I’m like damn have some back bone bruh’ … We should be proud as hellll
but at the same time alert and objective.
Yes we as a community have to be help ourselves out of alot of what we can control this indeed we can and must do !!
But let’s not ( EVER ) forget that century’s of overwhelming obstacles and odds have been stacked against our people by the very same government that our Brother and President now presides over …..
Let’s just think about that for a few minutes ..

Alan Keys is an idiot. Everytime I hear him talk I feel embarrassed for him trying to sound intelligent. You will see him use an extensive vocabulary but then ends up rambling and by the end of the argument the whole room, both black and whites are laughing at him and not taking him seriously.

allque8 before Obama was elected who would you consider the so called Black leader? And Stan_Vinyl they didn’t criticize Bush as much because he didn’t give a damn about what they thought so why waste there time. At least Obama has to take into consideration what they are saying.

We have to remember that Mr. Pres. is the President not a civil rights leader, not an activist for the black caucus; and whether or not anyone agree with Obama ,especially black leaders, they should be trying to uplift him and not try to break him off with negative connotations, he has enough hate news from those bytches from fox news.

Obama is not a God. He is a man open to corruption like everybody else on Captiol Hill. HE IS NOT PERFECT. NOBODY IS.

First of all Obama is not black for he was he never would have been elected. He is as they say a man with a tan, He is nothing but a socialist pig and is trying to destroy this country from within (remember 911?) for his Muslim brothers, he has the lowest approval rating in history for
American Presidents. Second of all it was Sharpton not Jackson who tried to ban the the so called bad word and in doing so refreshed it in the minds of those who had all but forgotten it (just to mention I work with many black people and I never hear that word more then from them), Jackson did not get in simply because he is black but because he is a bigoted racist and viciously antisemitic (remember him calling the Jews of New York a bunch of hymies? (bad word from years ago) and from a really very nice black person that I work with “most of the problems that blacks have are brought on by their own selves”
