Tell the GOP: Stop inciting and supporting hate

This weekend, anti health care protesters shouted racist and homophobic slurs at Black and gay members of Congress. It’s not the first time we’ve seen such hatred. For over a year, the Republican Party has done little to stop the violent rhetoric, racially charged imagery, and paranoid conspiracy theories emerging from their grassroots supporters. Worse, Republicans officials have even contributed to this atmosphere, and have actively courted this element of their party.

It’s time that Republican leadership is forced to address what it’s helped to create.

Join us in calling on RNC Chaiman Michael Steele, House Minority Leader John Boehner and House Minority Leader Mitch McConnell to make it clear that bigotry, hate, and the fear-mongering that leads to it have no place in their party.
