yea were where the family support unit when ms jackson needed them ? raising a child like that is not an easy task that can be done alone . god rest them both

I don’t know what the real reason in behind her killing herself and son. Yet im mad that she went for years and then gave up and took the cheap way out by killing herself and child. Give your child away if you can’t handle the stress of taking care of them. Im sure she knew of what the things she would face by having him yet she had the child and kept him for 12yrs and then killed him and herself. Things like that really make mad…it was selfish of the mother to take her childs life because she couldn’t handle the stress. Why not take her own life and let him live? I just wish the family of these people who are stressed out and talking in terms of killing themself and their children would get them some help or call CPS on them so they can get them the help they need. Don’t wait until it come down to this type of sh!t happening and then speak on it. In every case like this I have read that someone in the area saw and heard or that the person spoke to a friend in terms of killing themself and their child…yet they didn’t say sh!t in terms of getting them help by reporting their a$$ right then and their…its not called being nosy people its called getting them some help that will save their life and childs life.(JMO)

Aw…life goes on.

This is complete bull. I have a 48 year old mother and a 22 year old brother with moderate to severe Autism and she would NEVER think of doing something like this. I do believe some people are not meant to handle certain kinds of stress but there are MANY, MANY services that the woman could have turned to and many of them are free. She could have arranged for the child to have a daycare worker come to the home for only a few hours, or enroll the child in an Autistic rec center. This is just ridiculous. If all else fails, if you can’t handle the child then I am fairly certain that some kind, loving family who has prior knowledge in dealing with autistic/special children would have welcomed him with open arms. Such a waste.

This woman and her son are dead and gone, but this can be an example to others, to not try to handle things on their own. Each and everyone is different; we all handle and internalize stress differently, so we can’t make assumptions about what we or someone else might or might not do, just because the situation seems similiar. You never know what other stress factors ppl are dealing with; such as mental condition, sickness, finances, etc. and some ppl would rather “take the easy way out”, or so they think, by taking their life.

We dont know what went on in this woman’s household or her mind, nobody does, if she did kill her son and then herself, may God have mercy on both their souls.

Murder-Suicide is trendy these days it seems. No one can just kill themselves and only themselves anymore.

@Nightowl358 I agree. If she was going to take her own life, whatever. That’s a tragedy in and of itself, but why the kid? And to Truth, no situation is similar. Everyone’s story is different. I just know that no matter WHAT your story is, there are options other than killing a helpless child.

Yes lets all judge the dead womans actions and the motives behind them that we’ll never know

I worry about my sister with a autistic child…..she needs to send him to a home facility where propely trained people could deal with him instead of her. It’s hard just like taking care of a person with ALztheimer’s Disease (like my dad had)……hope she does this before I had to cry becuase she couldn’t handle a 16 year old with a disability……

I refuse to believe that “ONLY” having a autistic child caused her to do this…some people are clearly not mentally there yet and still are able to bare kids. All to many people have done this same thing to perfectly normal & healthy kids as well.
