Bill O’Reilly is standing up for his fellow right wing bigot, Rush Limbaugh, and his plan for buying the St. Louis Rams. In this clip, O’Reilly, says he can’t find any of Rush Limbaugh’s infamous racist quotes involving the NAACP and slavery. That’s funny, I had no problem finding them.

Casey Gane-McCalla, you are the problem with the internet. Anyone can say anything, about anyone and not be held responsible for their words. I watched the Bill O’Reilly show. He did not say that he could not find the quotes. He found them all over the internet, on sites just like this, for example. What O’Reilly said was that he could not verify the quotes. Sure, he can find people like you who repeat this stuff, but he could not find from what legitimate source proved that Rush said any such.

During the campaign last year, Matt Damion got on national television and started tearing into Sarah Palin for believing that dinosaurs existed at the time of Christ. His point was that Palin was a radical, dumb Christian. The only problem was that she never said any such thing, and laughed about it as being silly when she heard about it. Some liberal blogger simply made it up; Someone in the press picked it up and repeated it to Damion, who then ranted about it on national television. That is how rumors and lies happen on the internet.

What you are doing by repeating unverifiable quotes is showing that the Left cannot be trusted with the facts. Here is a fact for you to digest. Rush has been attacked with the racist label for years. He put his money where his mouth is: Rush put up one million dollars to anyone who could actually produced a audio or video clip of his making the statement about slavery, or any other statement that was racist -not simply that he disagreed with an African-American- but a statement that denigrated a black-American. No one was ever able to collect. That tells me far more that your repeating blogger rumors.

You have shown that you are ready to believe and repeat ANYTHING you hear about someone with whom you disagree. Who is showing hatred and prejudice, Rush, or you?

I say let the Pillsbury doe boy buy the Rams. He makes over 40 plus million a year spreading hate while sitting on his fat lazy azz. It’s a free country though and he can afford it. I hope he has an all white team and let’s see what happens. I’m sure that team will set more records in one season than any team in the history of not only the NFL, but all of professional sports. What kind of records?

  • http://www.blackplanet.com/_A_/ _A_

@SanMarcosEric. I agree with you that the internet can be a rumor mill, and filled with people willing to repeat before verifying what they have heard. However, it also seems, you are suggesting, or flat out saying, that this is something only done by those on the left. Are we to believe, that people on the right (average person or media type) would never behave in this way? See this is when insightful comments sound to start foolish! Truth is, there are people who do this and people who don’t and they run the spectrum in terms of their religious, political, racial or economic background, so stop suggesting/talking nonsense!!!

As far as Rush is concerned, that’s his money and he is free to buy whatever he wants..I would rather see him use his own money buying a football team, than taxpayer money going to buy cars, boats, homes, jewelry for bailed out bank CEO’s and their board members!

  • http://www.blackplanet.com/SanMarcosEric/ SanMarcosEric

_A_, I appreciate your comments and let me make a couple of things clear. You are absolutely right: Stupidity, racism and ignorance are not monopolized by any one color, or by any political party. I was, of course, referring to a specific story, but please do not take that to mean that I defend it coming from the right. I will give you my politics: I am white and live in San Diego, which is predominately white and Hispanic (Are you supposed to capitalize “white” and “black” when referring to people?). I am a fiscal conservative, which basically means I want the government to protect the borders, keep the roads and schools in good condition, stay small, otherwise, stay out of my wallet and stay out of my life. I am also a social Libertarian, which means that the government has no business telling me what to do as long as I am not interfering with anyone else’s rights. Equal means just that: Equal. I should not be treated by the government, or anyone else any different than you, whether that is in court, in school, or in life in general. If it is wrong for me to say it to you, it is wrong for you to say it to me.
Take the comments below: Complex_Crazy_Beauty refers to both Limbaugh and O’Reilly as both being “pathetic and waste’s of human souls! Straight to hell they will go!” Doesn’t that sound a bit hate-filled, or extreme to you? Because I criticized writer/bloger/raper Casey for not checking his facts, Da_J_Rok’s response is “Casey is one of the finest writers on this joint… it dont matter if he misquote what the cracka’s say or not… we ridin wit Casey.” So I guess what Da J Rok is saying is that it does not matter if Casey is telling the truth or not, what appears to be important is that Casey is black and he is criticizing whites, therefore, whatever he say is OK. Reverse the roles. If a white person was saying what Da J Rok was saying, would you consider it racist? I would be interested in Casey commenting here.

  • http://www.blackplanet.com/Da_J_Rok/ Da_J_Rok

Actually SanMarcosEric, I was just being brief, in all honesty, in my opinion there is a difference between a white person and a cracka, just like there is a difference between black people and niggas puttin them in their proper context is an individual responsibility. I embrace the nigga cause it is my “Annointment Title” the struggle, every man before me that had to fall victim to this word in the manner suffering, I bare the name with pride, for the sake of them, not because its cool and trendy and I hear everybody else doing it. Now I like white people, I absolutely dont like crackas, crackas arent a race, even though they consist of one particular race group, they are people with no understanding.

Now as far as your politricks are concerned R or D, C or L, Rwing or Lwing it dont matter… cause the ultimate agenda is control, the more they got the less u got and the more u get, the more they wanna take from u. I usually try to take the high road and express myself more eloquently and intelligently (such as _A_ and a select few of others can attest to) so pardon my speech, but with most of these clowns here there is no level of reasoning nor comprehension, so I try to keep it simple as possible for the inferior intellects to be engaging as well

  • http://www.blackplanet.com/SanMarcosEric/ SanMarcosEric

Da J Rok: Good God in Heaven… It’s like two different people!!! Actually, I am glad that you responded. I felt that unlike some of the other brief statements, you we speaking somewhat tongue-in-check. I hear what you are saying in the first paragraph, although it may be “trendy” in the black community, it is still “hands off” language for whites. I will say that although your definitions do walk a very tight line -and I also believe that many people use your reasoning to hide hatred- I take you at your word and do not disagree with what you are saying -good and ugly come in all colors.
It is funny, listening to your statement in the second paragraph, and listening to what _A_ said, you both actually sound like Conservatives (I hope that won’t keep you up in a panic tonight!). The more control one group takes over any part of the government, by definition, it shuts out others. Take the Senate right now. The Democrats have a majority of 60 to 40 Senators. Because of that the Republicans can’t even get an amendment considered on any bill on the floor. The representatives of just under half of America are being shut out of the process. After the Civil War, when the Republicans held overwhelming majorities, they did the same thing to the Democrats, whom they blamed for slavery and the war.
That is why I am not a Republican. I am a Conservative. Conservatives believe very strongly in the protections of the Constitution and in small government (George Bush was no Conservative). The Constitution was designed to protect citizens against encroachment of their rights by the government. The attacks against your freedoms and mine are unprecedented. If the government were smaller, as Conservatives want, it would have less ability to interfere with your freedoms (it would also need far less of your tax dollars to operate). That is Conservatism. We are constantly being painted with ridiculous attacks of racism, sexism, of favoring the rich over the poor, etc. Bottom line, most Conservatives are social Libertarians and don’t believe that the government has any business in your daily life. Liberals, like Hillary Clinton seem to believe that government should carry you from “womb to the tomb” as the campaign slogan went.
I don’t want to mess up your reputation with your buddies, but if you believe that government should be smaller so as to interfere less with the people, and that the Constitution is the ultimate guarantor of your rights, your are a Conservative.
Remember what _A_ said, “.I would rather see [Rush] use his own money buying a football team, than taxpayer money going to buy cars, boats, homes, jewelry for bailed out bank CEO’s and their board members!” Don’t forget, it was the Democrats who have been giving all of this stimulus money to Wall Street (Bush approved the first batch, but that was less than a trillion dollars -Barack has spent over 12 trillion already). I e-mailed _A_ and teased him that he also sounded like a Conservative. He must have been offended because I have not heard back from him!

It’s only hands off in a public arena, but disclosed professionals dont give a dayum. I am a Independent Conservative with a concentration for liberation. I know if the government served a purpose for making a difference to actually “help” our country then we probably wouldnt even be having this conversation right now. I look at them like this, One Big Dysfunctional Family, implementing their names in society to last from the moment they make office until they cant reproduce any more hatchlings. The concepts of the parties have changed in order to mask and justify the checks and balances in our system. Simply put “if u scratch my back, i’ll scratch yours”

The biggest thing I see is unemployment, I don’t even believe in the word personally. But for those that do, I know they often wonder how is it that they fill out applications and the employer states that they have a job opening, yet and still they dont get hired. Why because of “Stock” the inclination of every company warrants increased productivity, therefore “hiring” so as long as this statistic is at a stalemate, u got a bunch of people twiddling their thumbs. It was announced today Wall St pocketed 140 Billion in bonuses…thats 140,000 Millionaires…1.4 Mil Thousandaires(6 Fig) 2.8 Thousandaires (5 Fig) In this equation, 2.8 Million people with 50k could circulate alot of money in the economy, for these people who are already millionaires, which in turn they are gonna get the money right back anyway shouldn’t matter. But our good friends the Conservatives and Libertarians will close their window shades and wait on the postman to deliver the monopolized income that they themselves are responsible for printing which means absolutely nothing to them because its “All In A Days Work”

    Politricks… Its The American Way

Da J Rok, you seem confused about Capitalism. On the one had, your are the CEO of Kryme Records. You have an absolute right to invest your money and time, and hopefully benefit from luck, planning and hard work. On the other hand, you are spewing the non-sense that comes out of Washington vilifying Wall street, which is done for no other reason than so that people will not pay as much attention to how badly Washington is screwing up our country. Whatever crime, corruption, fraud and waste that is going on along Wall Street, I guarantee you that it pales in comparison to the crime, corruption, fraud and waste going on along the Mall of Washington. You just complained about Wall Street passing out $140 billion in bonuses. Congress has just spent $12 Trillion in the last six months and no one in the Capital seems to know where any of it went! Worse, they are about to spend another $2 trillion on a 1,200 page health care bill that no one has read!
By the way, your math is wrong: $140 Billion only makes 140 millionaires. The New York Times, by the way reported that those bonuses were distributed all the way down to janitors and receptionists, some of whom received several thousand dollars. Why do you care anyway? Don’t you own your own company? Do you want Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reed and Barack Obama telling your how to run it? You may have voted for the president, and support him, but does that really mean that you want him running your business for you? Or telling your how to?
Right now, according to public records, Kryme Records is a single employee company: Just you. It makes what it makes (No one’s business but yours). I am sure that you are hoping that this company grows and is wildly successful. Let’s say a couple years down the road, Kryme Records has signed two of the hottest acts in the world. You just pulled in $25 million in net profits for the year, and that is after you have paid your taxes, given your acts all of their commissions and paid all of your employees etc. Not bad, but you are the one who invested his money; you are the one who invested his time. This was your project, and after several years of late nights and long weekends of work, it has paid off. Do you really believe that Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reed and Barack Obama should at that time have the right to come in and tell you, “You are making too much money. We are going to put a limit on how much you can earn”?
Now I am sure that if you made $25 million, Kryme Records would by then have a number of employees: Receptions answering the phones, managers taking care of the bands; an office manager; production assistants and an executive secretary just to help you keep your appointments straight. Being a smart businessman, you know you could not have done this without the help and hard work of your employees, so you take $5 million and give it to your staff in the form of bonuses. The receptionist gets $10,000; your production manager gets $100,000. However, you have a office manager on whom you really depend; he keeps it all together, so much so that other companies are trying to recruit him away from Kryme Records. So of the $5 million, you give him a structured bonus of $1 million, paid out over the next year (so that he can’t leave) and agree to similar bonuses in the future. Now that was your money; your profits that you just gave away in bonuses. Does Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reed and Barack Obama have the right to tell you whether or not you can give away those bonuses?
Now, let’s say that you are the Chairman of the board of a large Wall Street investment firm. Your company has just come out of the recession and made $2.3 billion in profits this year. You’ve got one of the best sales staff in the world and your executives are being shopped by other investment firms on three different continents. As I said, you are the Chairman of the board. The board consists of 30 other stock holders and together you own the majority stake in the company. In other words, a big chunk of that $2.3 billion is your own money. You made a lot of money, but you know that it was the efforts of a lot of very talented, hard-working people who did it for you; thousands of them. Does Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reed and Barack Obama have the right to tell you whether or not you can take your money and reward your people? What the hell business is it of theirs? The can’t even run Washington, what the hell are they doing trying to run Wall Street?

You seem to suffer from a split perception; you have a schizophrenic view of capitalism. On the one hand you attack Wall Street (a metaphor for all Capitalism) as corrupt and greedy -typified by the character Gordon Gekko, played by Michael Douglas in the movie, Wall Street. That was a movie caricature of person. Sure they exist. The Feds just put Madoff in jail for ripping off clients for billions of dollars. Does that mean that everyone in business, everyone involved in Capitalism is corrupt, greedy and not to be trusted? It is silly even to consider it.
You are the CEO of Kryme Records. Are you a thief? Do you steal from those with whom you do business? Of course not! (I hope not!) Are there people in your industry who are corrupt? Probably. Does that mean all of you in that industry are? Of course not. That would be the same logic and reasoning rednecks use when talking about blacks: Because there is a black-on-black murder in the city, all blacks are murderers and killers! Because a black man raped a girl, all blacks are rapists. And, of course, that is the same logic and reasoning that racist blacks use against whites. Because someone can point out a racist, corrupt a*****e of a while person, that does not mean that all whites are a*****e, racist thieves.
Obviously, not all blacks are drug-dealing, gang-banging, murdering, white-hating rapists. In fact, only a very small fraction of a percent are. Most are descent people. That same goes for whites. The same goes for businessmen, Wall Street executives and other Capitalists. (Politicians are another story!) It is unfortunate that it is this small fraction of a percentage that gets all of the media attention.
Few people truly understand Capitalism or even the basics of economics. Instead, the cartoon caricature of “Evil Capitalism” prevails that has no more basis in reality than the cartoon of the Moon being made of cheese. This caricature exists because “sunny blue skies” are not news. That is what they tell you in journalism class. No one cares that it was a nice day today. Newspaper readers what to know about the coming hurricane, or the tornado that killed so many people. Same is true for blacks in this country. We had to do a project in my media class last spring. We went through all of the papers in the country and kept track of stories, what type of stories were reported, which were about women, blacks, Hispanics, etc. Not surprisingly, blacks were mentioned on the sports page and largely in relation to crime, with about ten percent of stories concerning blacks having nothing to do with sports or crime. Based upon the papers in this county, 90% of blacks are either ball players or criminals. Do you believe that this truly reflects black society? Are 90% of you ball players or criminals?
The same distortions exist in the media with regard to Wall Street. No one cares that business is good and employee’s checks don’t bounce. The media wants to focus in on the cheats and other villains. It makes good copy, but it does not reflect the real world. And that is the problem. The media and politicians love to attack Capitalism failings. A poor person is never poor because of their own bad choices. It is always portrayed as a failure of Capitalism. (When was the last time you heard a politician or journalist ever accuse a poor person of just not trying hard enough?) What you never hear is what Capitalism has done for this country. All of our roads were financed by profits of Capitalism, as were all of our hospitals and universities. Look at the standard of living we enjoy. Even those considered poor here: most have a car, TV, stereo, microwave. Few people in this country ever really have to worry about where their next meal is coming from. Compare that with Africa; with southern Asia and Mexico. Every place on earth where Free Market Capitalism exists and has existed for a time, the standard of living is high and life expectancy is long.
A perfect example of this is Korea, North and South. These are two countries with the same ethnic people; the same resources; same religious beliefs; and the same history until 1945. North Korea is Socialist. South Korea is Capitalist. In the last decade or so, some two million people have starved to death in North Korea. That state is completely dependent upon charitable food gifts from other nations (Did you know that we ship millions of tons of food to North Korea every year for free?). South Korea, on the other hand, has one of the most vibrant economies in the world, with a high standard of health, living and education among its citizens. Same people. Two different economic systems.

Good luck with your son and with KrymeWorld Records.

    Quote from SanMarcosEric:
By the way, your math is wrong: $140 Billion only makes 140 millionaires…

140 millionaires = 140 Million Dollars… do I really have to keep reading what you wrote further correct how wrong you are.

Not only am I a single father, but I am the Co-CEO of Krymeworld Entertainment, Political Science major and Investment Consultant for a private equity firm, and most importantly a devout Christian. I can do whatever I devote my time to and debating falls into that category, thats why I dont put any info on my page, because I like to be percieved a certain way, then blast everyone who is inclined to think I am just a typical black guy. Stereotypes are worth $0.00… Knowledge is Power

  • http://www.blackplanet.com/SanMarcosEric/ SanMarcosEric

Da J Rok, If I did not believe that you were intelligent I would not be wasting my time with these letters. So, do you agree with what I said about Free Market Capitalism, and Washington interfering with the market?

And, yes, you are right about the math. I entered the figures using commas and the computer assumed they were decimal points and cut out the following numbers. $140 Billion does equal 140,000 millionaires. But my points still stand: 1) Why do you care, 2) What does Washington have to do with it, and 3) Would you do anything different if you were in their shoes?

As a political science major, have you studied another political-economic system that was ever more successful than Free Market Capitalism and a Democratic Republic? The problem with the system is not that is does not work. The problem is apathy. We are a Capitalistic country, but most people don’t understand Capitalism or economics. We are a Constitutional Democracy, but few people take that time to study the Constitution, nor do they pay any attention to what is going on in Washington.

  • http://www.blackplanet.com/SanMarcosEric/ SanMarcosEric

Didn’t this begin as a conversation about Rush Limbaugh??!

  • http://www.blackplanet.com/Da_J_Rok/ Da_J_Rok

In principle you have alot of validity in your points in which I agree with, yes it is about Rush, which is a Conservative Capitalist. I care because his involvement would interject society in masses of other cultures that really are not “down with his cause”. Which he already does in a way that influences a national syndication audience. That being said, his politricks will trickle down to the people that would be employed by him, it would be nothing for him to say to Stephen Jackson, “hey i’ll throw in a extra 100k, if you speak on behalf of John McCain” so it would compromise fans. Let’s say Stephen sold the most jerseys in the league that year, it would go to show that he is popular, it would be a domino effect of people buying into the idea of a greater good without actually understanding what degree of his agenda he brings to the table.

I am not gonna say that i’m a Rush hater, I actually support some of his ideas, the problem I have is with the people who support him under the table to say what they are afraid to. Our system is the best in the world true enough, but it has just as many flaws to keep those who are uneducated, semi-sucessful and down right poor in their place. The first chance that they get to make an example out of someone who doesn’t support a national agenda they gonna do it, not because a person is bad or anything, but because of the Capitalist Mentality. I dont find the democracy in that. Freedome to lie and cheat should be amended into the Constitution, which it already is to a degree, only in legislative lingo. Someone who can’t read that language wouldn’t understand the difference though.

  • http://www.blackplanet.com/SanMarcosEric/ SanMarcosEric

Da_J_Rok -Then why does the same principle not apply to Jay-Z owning the Nets. He has made some when doc**ented racists statements. Why then, was he not disqualified for fear that he might “throww in a extra 100k” to one of his players to make a political point?

  • http://www.blackplanet.com/Da_J_Rok/ Da_J_Rok

The obvious difference is Jay-Z is not political, but in reference to it, Larry Johnson often throws up the Rocafella sign with his hands, so I guess that means that Jay-Z should be responsible for helping his client get another job in the NFL. We talked about this on another article, I can’t pinpoint it exactly, but I say the same rules apply to Jay-Z as well.
