Now more media coverage is showcasing what happened with the protesters. Let’s not loose sight of the fact that this young father was lying on his back 2 sets of knees in his back and then was shot in the back at point blank range. Prior to the protest the mayor of Oakland made not 1 statment. Keep this in the spotlight and keep the attention on what actually matters. The fact that Oscar Grant’s life was taken from him by those that are supposed to serve and protect…EXECUTION STYLE!

I am sick of this police s**t – I would love to have been there in Oakland to protest or join in any other protests that I could make my way to. We almost need an army to protect us from the police. I think we should have special laws to allow us to defend ourselves against the police in any way possible – they have been out of hand my entire life and need to be STOPPED – we didn’t need to go to Iraq to fight terror but rather to our local precincts.

I was on the bart that nigth but did not see the shooting. Once I got off bart. I’d hear what happen! i live in vegas but oakland is where i call home and always will be. things like this bother me deeply but they don’t usually bring me to tears. this did…i saw the video yesterday but today i saw the one with sound. and hearing all those people on the train yelling at the cops to leave him alone… then seeing the cop put a bullet in him.

they are taking their time deciding if this was a murder or not…from what i heard BART tried to say the cameras in the station weren’t working and so they could cover it up. thank God for all these camera phones…if those people on the train didn’t step up they would have got away with it.

Now I understand that they were upset and pissed off…but smashing windows, burning trash containers, trying to turn over a police car, and damaging other property is just plain ole ignant. They f**ked his knee up and bust out his tooth, tried to make a false claim against him which the judge saw through and reprimanded the officer. Didn’t help my brother any though. This footage makes me cry every time – anybody finding out what to do to help people protest anytime some b.s. jumps off – let’s do it. it wouldn’t be right but understood about the violent outburst if the officer got off from the crime, but by acting out their taking the light off the real issues i seen the short video of the shooting it made me upset to mainly when it’s starting to become the norm for cops abuse and murder and nothing being done about it I’m in queens not far from the Sean bell shooting took place.My point is we have to try to find another way to handle this a smart way the old way of rioting never helped in fact it made it worse neighborhood businesses get torn or burned down people just acting out random violent acts and sometimes using issues like these to act a fool it’s enough let the attention be where it needs to on that officer who shot him in the back being arrested not to people tearing up their own neighborhoods. i know i wrote a lot but here’s what i did.I was getting off the train cops were around the station as I’m about to cross the street i see the cop van cut off a car when the car pulled up not to far from me it was a young black driver so i decided to stand there and look not making any noise just watch the officer when he noticed he started to give me dirty looks but he kept looking up at me while he was looking at the boys id i kept watching i wasn’t breaking any laws all he could do was be mad i don’t know what the reason was for stopping the boy but i waited there long enough and the boy drove off i guess it was his nice car or out of state plates either way i pissed that officer off he shot me one more glance before he got back in his car and i laughed all the way home.

You know what? The people of Oakland did what the family of Oscar couldnt do on their own… Now it may not be the most moral way of doing so but it is respectable and justifiable… There are many situations where the government has discerned emotion and the law towards black people… The most recent being Hurricane Katrina/Bush-FEMA Support, The JENA 6 in Georgia, and now this… Where are the Jesse Jacksons, the Al Sharptons of OUR time? I agree… if we want change we have to fill the positions and start from the outside in… I just wwant to say that i am a 20 year old african-american college stu-dent and i am happy to have made it this far… because too many of us are done an injustice and become victims of society… Cops shouldnt be able to hide behind police protection and be able to resign after blatant and INTENTIONAL EXECUTIONS OF OUR PEOPLE!!! While the shooting was senseless and unjust, starting a riot to get your point across is just going to make matters worse. The lady said on there that “we want them to be afraid tonight”. Fighting fire with fire is never the answer. All it is going to do is cause police forces and southern rights activist that still protect their age-old slavery laws want to press down even harder on the black community. I’m not saying speaking out and wanting to do something about the situation is wrong, I’m saying the way it was carried about was wrong. Doing damage to buildings, cars, the streets, etc. is not doing anything but making them criminals and their efforts are in vain and now they have court cases and liability to pay for the reparations of the damaged properties. Violence is never the answer. Two wrongs dont make a right. People really need to think things through before acting rashly. And thats the problem with the whole society. Nobody wants to listen to anyone and do their own damn thing. It’s sad really.

It’s a damn shame that there are too many undisciplined, untrained, police officers in the criminal justice field. I believe the officer should be charged, convicted, and executed. Rioters are senseless in causing so much destruction and putting people’s lives at risk.

This event is truely an unfortunate one. If the police 0fficers intent was to grab his stun gun, I don’t think this is a matter of racial profiling or anything like that. HOwever, if his intent was to shot this unarmed man, the people who hire police officers realy need to do a more detailed back ground check. I pray for the victims family. And that justic is served accordingly.

When I say african american I am not talking about all black people either. Although our ancestors were from africa does not mean all blacks are from africa. Black Americans are so far from full blooded Africans due to all of the devils that Raped the african women as well as the devil women who raped african men in so many ways, that the majority of the black people in America today, will be considered mixed. But again, that dominant black gene exists, so even though we are not full blooded Africans, We are Black! What these idiot racist dont realize just like the hispanics are just now trying to empower themselves, you have black people all ready in power. Dont forget about the young parents that are just like me who knows what is really going on, you better believe our children are being educated a little differently by there parents.
